Local Companies Provide Backpacks and School Supplies
Numerous students throughout the Neenah Joint School District received backpacks and school supplies through generous donations from Jewelers Mutual and Dave Mader State Farm Insurance. Jewelers Mutual provided a backpack to every student at Horace Mann and Taft, while the backpacks from State Farm were distributed to students in need at all other elementary schools and the middle school.
Dave Mader, right, presented backpacks with school supplies to NJSD administrators, who distributed them to each school as part of State Farm's "Stuff the Bus" campaign.
Jewelers Mutual Insurance employees passed out backpacks with school supplies and hand-written notes to Horace Mann students with help from the Kids in Need Foundation.

Construction at NHS to Impact Traffic Flow

Literacy Tip of the Month
While reading a book, help the child understand a new word by explaining what it is and what it is not. For example, "Animals like bats stay awake at night. They don't sleep at night like we do. We say they are nocturnal. Animals who stay awake during the day, like us, are not nocturnal."
