Lenski Weekly Update

Happy Friday!

It was so fun to see many of you this morning at Donuts with Grownups! The energy and community feel was so special! Thank you to those who could join us!

We have added a few non-Friday DJ signups! We will plan on playing a fun song the last day before the weekend. There are only a few available dates. Sign Up Here! Thank you to the families who have chosen such amazing songs and donated to PTO. We are having a lot of fun dancing into the weekend!

Our next Lenski Accountability meeting is scheduled for October 22nd at 1:45pm. Nick Schuster, LPS Library Services Specialist and Equity Leader, will be joining us as our guest speaker! Nick is an incredible leader in LPS who does a lot of “behind the scenes” work that helps to make Lenski and LPS such a dynamic and inclusive place to be. All are welcome to attend!

Next week is parent teacher conference week. There will be no afterschool enrichment classes next week. Enrchment classes will resume on Tuesday, October 22nd. October 17-18 and 21st are non-student days.

Friendly reminder, when you drop off your student in the morning at the valet line, please ensure that it is a quick drop off and that you or the driver remains in the car. We have had a lot of people hold up the line because they have gotten out of the car. If someone new is dropping your student off in the morning, please let them know to stay in the car. Thank you!

It is that time of year again when LPS uses anonymous surveys to gather information about the school environments, health and wellness. Students in grades 3 to 12 are given time in school to complete the survey but there is no penalty for choosing not to participate. Survey data is used by LPS and Lenski to improve programs and resources that meet students’ current needs and support an inclusive and safe environment. Parents can opt their students out of the survey by submitting an opt-out form to our Front Office by November 1, 2024. Here is the link: Opt out - English and Opt out - Spanish.

If you are interested in volunteering to help during lunch recesses, we would love to have you! Check in as usual at the kiosk. Then, come into the front office to receive your yellow vest. You may come up with your own game, or click here to preview games with videos. We’ll also have a binder with additional ideas in the office to choose from.
