FULLER FAMILY NEWS
From the Principal's Desk
Hello Fuller Families!
Thank you for another wonderful week of learning and fun at Fuller Elementary! We are so grateful for your continued support in helping make this school year great. One thing we want to emphasize is the importance of daily attendance. According to the Texas Education Code, students are required to attend school regularly to ensure their academic success. When your child is present, they are able to fully engage in learning activities, connect with their peers, and stay on track with their education. Let's work together to make sure our students are here and ready to learn every day!
Also, 2024 STAAR results can be found by clicking the green Texas Assessment button in Parent and/or Student Portal. (Top left corner when you login).
Next week, we have some exciting events to look forward to:
- **The Book Fair** will be happening all week! Students can explore and purchase books, but please be mindful that this will impact the library schedule.
- **Grandparents Lunch** is on Thursday! We invite all grandparents to join their student for lunch and be part of this special day.
Also, our **PTO Fun Run** is coming up soon! Check out the information below on how to get involved and help support our school in this fun and active way.
Here are some celebrations this week:
- **September 3rd**: Pre-K Teacher Tanya Collins' Birthday
- **September 6th**: PE Coach Kristin Giddens' Birthday
Thanks again for all you do to support your students and our school. Have a wonderful week and remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

Fuller Elementary PTO
On Sept. 10 , from 6:00 – 7:00 pm we will have our 4th annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at Fuller. You will meet in the school cafeteria at 6:00 pm for FREE pizza and drinks. At 6:30, we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Fun Run
Fuller Elementary Families!
We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Fuller Fun Run. Our goal this year is to raise $12,000 for Classroom Resources and Campus Improvements to benefit ALL students at Fuller Elementary.
We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:
User-friendly fundraising platform
Character enrichment program
Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
