Endeavour Elementary
Eagle News - Vol. 4 - March 1, 2024
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Families,
As you can imagine in a building filled with 460 little humans and 70 big humans, conflicts arise daily. An important life skill is learning how to address and manage conflict in a positive and productive way. Typically, kids look to adults to address and fix all conflicts as they arise. Although at Endeavour, adults want to be partners in problem solving, we also believe there is great empowerment for our kids to learn to manage conflicts with greater independence.
As a school, we have introduced "The Conflict Corner" as a tool to engage in conflict resolution. It is impressive to see even our youngest students be able to work through the Conflict Corner steps and come to a resolution together. One thing our kids do much better than adults is happily move forward once a resolution is found and compliments are given. :)
Thank you for all you do to help your kids continue to be positive conflict managers. We believe we have the power to solve problems TOGETHER!
With gratitude,
~Tamara
Golden Feather Award
This month's Golden Feather Award was given to the Mukilteo Fire Department in gratitude for their quick action and hard work in the early morning hours of December 4th, 2023. They saved our building from being destroyed by fire, and we are back in school today thanks to their heroism.
Please join us in giving the Mukilteo Fire Department a huge Eagle shout out!
