On Tuesday, November 26th, Wildwood Elementary will be having a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving celebration for our students! Wildwood Wolves will enjoy the spirit of friendship and gratitude with special treats and a viewing of the beloved holiday special. We can’t wait to make some fun Thanksgiving memories together!

University of Michigan Basketball Education Day
The University of Michigan is excited to announce that on Friday, November 15th at 6 PM, the Michigan Men's Basketball team will proudly host their Sixth Annual Education Day as they take on TCU! This special event is designed to celebrate education and engage students and staff across the state!

Wildwood Elementary has undergone major construction, and we are thrilled to have new beautiful classrooms and extra space! Early Dismissal and Tardy Reminder
We would like to remind everyone, to minimize disruptions during the final instructional period of the day, early pick-ups will not be allowed after 3:00 PM. We kindly ask that you plan any necessary early dismissals accordingly.
Also, if you need to change your child’s means of transportation, please call the office directly so that we can ensure the message gets to the correct staff member and student.

Medication Reminder
Students that need to receive medication at school need to have the proper paperwork filled out. Even if your student received medication last year, a new form needs to be turned in before medication can be dropped off. Please make arrangements to drop off medication and the supporting documentation to the main office. Medication should not be sent to school along with the student for safety concerns.
Food Service Electronic Benefits Form
Wayne-Westland Community Schools participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. This ensures that ALL enrolled students receive breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household!
To help us maintain this program, we ask parents and guardians to complete and sign the Education Benefits Form (available on the Meal Magic Family Portal https://waynewestland.familyportal.cloud/) and return it to your child's school as soon as possible.
This form is crucial for your child's school to receive important funding from state and federal programs . Your help makes a big difference!

Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic
The Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic is open! We provide physicals, hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, sick care and asthma management. We will also have mental health services available in the near future. We are grant funded and accept all insurances, however, no patient will be turned away for inability to pay.
The clinic is located at John Glenn High School, 36105 Marquette, Westland, MI.
Family Resource Center
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has a Family Resource Center (FRC), which provides services to any student/family enrolled in our District, free of cost. Some of the services they provide are essential needs assistance, access to over 700 local resources, a Laundry Assistance Program and material items for those unable to afford them (emergency toiletries, socks/underwear, hats/gloves/scarves, etc.) They can also supply school supplies and backpacks year-round for any WWCS student. Please contact our Family Resource Center at 734-419-2709 or FRC@wwcsd.net. Our FRC also has a Digital Request for Services Form, which can be used to request assistance by filling out a simple form. Please contact the Family Resource Center directly with additional questions regarding their services.
Lunch Balance Information
The Wayne-Westland Food Service Department is proud to offer students a variety of delicious yet healthy breakfast and lunch choices. The lunch program uses an efficient point-of-sale swipe card system, significantly reducing wait times and allowing students more time to enjoy their meals.
We offer an extensive selection of additional products for students to purchase during lunch, including beverages, bagged snacks, and desserts. While the selection varies by school and grade level, students can conveniently buy snacks using cash or their student lunch accounts.
Funding the student lunch account is simple through the Meal Magic Family Portal, with detailed instructions provided below. Please note that we currently do not accept credit or debit cards. For any questions or issues regarding purchases or lunch accounts, please email foodservice@wwcsd.net or call the Food Service Department at (734) 419-2118.

If you or a family member are looking for help with mental health or substance use, Care Solace can help you quickly find treatment options matched to your needs regardless of the circumstance. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential service provided to students, staff, and their families by Wayne-Westland Community School District. Care Solace’s team is available 24/7/365 and can support you in any language.
