Letter from the Principal
Dear Armstrong Middle School Parents and Families,
My name is Karen Noble and I have the pleasure of joining the Armstrong staff as the interim principal for 2024-2025! I am a former Plano ISD student, teacher, parent, Assistant Principal, and Principal. I spent the last of 33 years as Assistant Principal and Principal of Mendenhall Elementary. Since I retired, I have been a substitute administrator for the district at many campuses, including Forman Elementary, in the Armstrong community!
I have enjoyed getting to know the outstanding staff who will continue to serve our school community including Principal, Mr. Tedford, Assistant Principals, Mr. Phillips and Ms. Yusuf, our awesome Office Manager, Ms. Alvarez Molina, as well as several other outstanding staff members during our first few weeks back at school. I already know that this is a special place. Along with Mr. Tedford, your Armstrong staff is committed to making this the greatest year ever for our whole school community.
Our theme for this year is Roaring into the Future: Armstrong’s Legacy Lives On. There is much to be remembered, celebrated and created this year. Armstrong has served thousands of students in the 48 years since opening in 1976. We are serving hundreds more in the 49th year and we know they will leave a special legacy to add to all of those already established by this community. I encourage you to be a part of helping us to make sure the Armstrong legacy lives on.
Please plan to stay in close communication with Armstrong this year. We will be sending our Armstrong eNews electronically each week . It will keep you informed about upcoming events, extracurricular opportunities, and important announcements from Armstrong and Plano ISD. It will also showcase remarkable achievements of our Tigers, highlight their accomplishments, and celebrate their milestones.
Please plan on actively engaging with our school community by attending parent-teacher conferences, joining PTA,and participating in various school activities.Your support and involvement make a significant difference in creating a positive and enriching experience for our students.
I am looking forward to the staff and students returning and filling the hallways and classrooms with high expectations for an awesome year of learning, activities, events, and celebrations. Please join us for our “Back to School Bash” on Friday, August 9th from 8:00 to 9:30! The event is for all students and their families. I am looking forward to the first opportunity to meet you all! We will have donuts, coffee etc. for everyone. Students can find their classrooms and get familiar with their schedule. PTA will be selling spirit wear, you will be able to join PTA, get information and help with transportation, the new parent portal, health information and help signing up for the free or reduced lunch program.
We look forward to working together to create an exceptional journey for our students during Armstrong’s final year. Should you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our dedicated staff.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.
Warm Regards,
Karen Noble
Interim Principal

Karen Noble
Director interino
