Hello Fronteras Families,

THANK YOU to everyone that attended our Wednesday Talent Show and Thursday Spanish Spelling Bee! We loved having so much support for our students! Congratulations to all of the Spelling participants! We are so proud of you! The following students earned the top three places in the Bee:

1st Place – Alicia Narino

2nd Place – Victoria Sandoval

3rd Place – Ryane Chambers

Our K-2nd grade spellers will participate in their Spanish Bee on the 26th at 9am in the gym. We hope you can attend that event and cheer on our little ones as well!

What a successful bake sale we had on Thursday! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our student-led fundraiser!

Thank you to all of our volunteers this week! We appreciate you for assisting us with library visits, recycling, classroom help, stage set-up/take-down, and Spring pictures! Giving your time to our students and our school is greatly appreciated!

There are three more school days to turn in Intent Forms for next school year. Forms are due to the front office on April 10th.

2024-2025 Intent Forms (current students and incoming siblings) were sent home on Tuesday, January 16th! If you have a returning student and/or incoming sibling(s), please fill out an Intent Form for each child. If your student will not be returning, please mark "not attend Fronteras".

The 1st Grade classrooms are looking for about 60 empty, rinsed out gallon milk jugs for a project. No lids necessary. Thank you!!

5th/6th Grade Girls Volleyball Season

March 4th-April 11th

For registration go to PlanetHS.com (sports physicals are valid for 18 months and need to last until April 11th)

Pay Sports Fee through ParentVUE account. Please contact Fronteras front desk staff for assistance with registration.

Training will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 2:35-4:00 pm

Athletic attire required: Non-marking tennis shoes. T-shirt(short or long sleeve), shorts or leggings , and Knee pads.

Games will be played against other middle schools on the following dates. Times TBD

7th-8th grade girls who participated in their VB season are invited to assist with coaching.

The Fronteras Volleyball boys have joined forces with the group from Birchtree to create the Boys Volleyball Club! They meet every Thursday after school in the gym from 2:45 to 4:45.

If you are able, come enjoy the games and support the teams!!

The Cuckoo will be performed by 4th-8th grade

Hats will be performed by k-3rd grade

Parents, family and friends have two opportunities to watch the school musical. All students will perform at both times.

May 9th at 1pm

or

May 10th at 8:30am

Join us for a remarkable charitable event, the Diplomacy & Leadership Summit, a two-day affair (July 26 & 27) filled with inspiration, networking, and celebration. The event is bilingual!

Our principal, Sra. Hutchins, will receive the Ibero-american Education medal, and a group of K-3 Fronteras students will perform a Mexican dance.

Also, the first Mexican astronaut will receive an Honorary Doctorate Degree and the students will be able to take photos with her on July 26 in The Massay Theater.

Attendance for both days is priced at $75.00 per adult. This fee includes access to all conferences, networking sessions, the tribute unveiling, dinner, and entertainment.

The event to take pictures with the first Mexican astronaut is free to children under 16 with at least 1 paying adult. All proceeds are going towards supporting charitable causes.
