Your Weekly Update from Natick High School

Principal's Message
Happy Diwali to all of our students, families, and community members that celebrate and observe this celebration. Diwali is a five day celebration from October 22nd through October 26th, with the main celebration taking place on Monday, October 24th. This festival of lights, to honor the triumph of light over dark, is considered to be one of the most celebrated holidays for Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs - as well as some Buddhist and Muslims. Please join us in honoring and celebrating this important holiday for families and students.
This Wednesday, there is an early release day with the schedule linked below. We are also winding down the first term, with grades closing on Friday, November 4th. Please encourage your students to self advocate and connect with teachers for any additional support they may need beyond the classroom.
Have a great week!

NHS TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATION
NHS has recently launched a Technology Certification program for students who are passionate about technology and able to excel past our current course offerings. Students work with an advisor to create a culminating project, connect with the community and demonstrate their expertise to a panel of community members at the end of the year. It's a great opportunity for students to distinguish themselves to colleges, internships and in job applications. Certificate earners get a presentation at class night, and a cord at graduation!
For more information see this document, check out our website, or join us in room 328 on November 1st for our next meeting!
