Interim Grade Reports will be released on Monday, December 16th, 2024. The interim grades will show student progress through the first 4 weeks of Quarter 2.

Quarter 2 will end on January 24th and the official grades for the first half of the school year will be stored. This means that 1/2 year classes will officially end and students who have not passed 1/2 year classes will be behind on credits.

We are hosting an important community discussion about ways we can work together to remove lead and protect the health of our children.

During this event, we’ll hear from public health experts who will talk about:

• The effects of lead exposure.
• How lead impacts children in our community.
• An upcoming lead testing campaign.

Students will have an early dismissal on Thursday, December 19th, 2024.

Students will resume classes on Monday, January 6th, 2025. The Pearson platform and other services will remain open for students during the Winter Break but no new assignments will be posted and previous assignments will not be accepted.

Students who have been placed on Academic Warning and continue to fail classes in Digital Academy are being transferred to in-person at Chester High School so that they can receive more adult guidance and support.

If your student is struggling in Digital Academy, let's have a conversation about whether this is the best fit for them at this time. Please do not let your student continue in the Digital Academy if it is not a good fit for them.

Attendance ✅

Our teachers and staff take daily attendance in every class. It is the policy of the Digital Academy that students must be present, in front of the computer, with their camera on, to be marked present for class. Currently, students who cover their camera lens or remain off-camera will be marked absent from class.

Student Devices 💻

Digital Academy students are required to use a School District Chromebook for all of their Digital Academy classes. Students should not use personal laptops, desktop computer, cell phones, or tablets to access Digital Academy classes.

Denial of Credit ❌

To obtain academic credit for a course, students must be in attendance and have their attendance recorded at least 90% of the time that a course is scheduled. Failure to attend at least 90% of the scheduled classes of any course may result in a denial of credit for that course.
