Welcome to October
Character Trait of the Month: Gratitude
Often we can find ourselves noticing things that we don’t like or that we wish were different. Choosing to notice and appreciate things in our life, things in others, and things in the world can be a challenge, but practicing Gratitude will help us to be more confident, calm, and focused.

OMA News
Greetings from Mr. Dominic! In OMA we have been learning about different sounds in music, playing instruments like our rainbow-colored glockenspiels and boomwhackers, and learning about musicians like Lalo Guerrero and Celia Cruz to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Our third graders have been working hard at learning to read music using many different games and instruments. They will start playing recorders in October and will have a chance to bring one home to practice. Band students have all selected their instruments, and we are focusing on making good sounds and learning the first few notes. Have a fantastic Fall!

Physical Education: Move, Play, Thrive
October is a busy month in P.E. class. We will start the month off with cardio drumming, then onto scooter hockey, and finish the month of October with fall festival games.
