June 17, 2025
Dear TUFSD Families and Staff,
As we enter the home stretch of the school year, there is so much to celebrate across our district. This week, we proudly prepare to honor the Class of 2025, and we couldn’t be prouder of our seniors. Their resilience, dedication, and growth over the years have been truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the future.
Across all our schools, students continue to work hard—not just academically, but also as thoughtful citizens striving to make a positive impact in our community. From service projects to creative initiatives, their passion and purpose are a powerful reminder of the strength and spirit of Tarrytown.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s finish the year strong!
Sincerely,
Dr. Raymond Sanchez

Board Docs Technical Issue
BoardDocs recently reported a technical issue that may have made some attachments visible through public search. Our TUFSD Team reviewed all impacted files and confirmed that no confidential information or student/staff PII was accessible.

Eco Club Wraps Up a Hands-On Spring Season
The Eco Club at Morse ended a fun season of planting, crafting, and learning about the environment. Highlights included making seed balls, planting with Peabody and first graders, and creating art from natural and recycled materials.
Middle Schoolers Recognized as Civic Changemakers
Under the guidance of 8th grade teacher Kim Proctor, students Lila Leonard and Yarlene Burgos recently presented their class’s civic action project on substance abuse and vaping at the NYC Bar Association. In recognition of their efforts, the class was awarded the Overall Middle School Class Changemaker award by Generation Citizen Mid-Atlantic. The award celebrates the class’s outstanding commitment to grassroots change, collaboration, diversity, and civic action. 👏
Superintendent for the Day
Rueben Price had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve as Superintendent for the Day, gaining firsthand experience of the responsibilities and decision-making involved in leading a school district. He met with principals, observed school operations, and learned about the many moving parts that keep our schools running smoothly.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns for making this meaningful and inspiring experience possible.
Celebrating the Class of 2025
We couldn’t be prouder of the Sleepy Hollow High School Class of 2025! Our seniors have been accepted to more than 200 colleges and universities across the country! Even more exciting, this incredible group will be attending over 80 different colleges and universities this fall (linked in the image), pursuing diverse academic paths and passions.
We can’t wait to see all they accomplish next. Congratulations, Class of 2025! 🌟❤️
School Closed: Juneteeth
Schools will be closed on Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. It’s a day to reflect on freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

School Supplies
Every year the Horsemen PTA partners with School Toolbox so you don't have to leave your house to order school supplies. Simply go to www.schooltoolbox.com and search the school your child will be attending. You can delete items you already have and add items you need, but the lists are the items required by the district for each grade. Supplies SHIP to HOME. Place orders by mid August to ensure delivery before school starts.
(***Please note TAPPAN families must search W.L. Morse for the 1st grade lists, even though you are attending Tappan).
Join Our Team!
