Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope this message finds you well.

We are thrilled to report another outstanding week at Carleton Park, where our pupils have once again exemplified our school values: Respect, Resilience, Teamwork, Independence, and Excellence. We couldn't be prouder of their dedication and commitment.

Year 5 were extremely fortunate to be invited to Manchester City Football Club. The children were able to take part in a range of activities including participating in a press conference and seeing the Premier League Trophy. Their exemplary behaviour throughout the day reflects the values we encourage at Carleton Park. We are looking forward to seeing the children’s photographs taken on the day as part of the Manchester City football Club website.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. We look forward to another successful week ahead and to celebrating the achievements of our wonderful children.

We will be collecting donations for Pontefract Food Bank from Monday 30th September until Friday 11th October. Please see below details of the preferred items. Please donate if your are able to.

Taylor Shaw who provide our school dinners are running this fantastic competition to design a T-Shirt. The winning design across all their schools will be made into T-Shirts for the whole class!

Children have been given the sheets to design and return. Please make sure if you would like to enter that your design is handed back to the teacher/office by Monday 7th October and that they are clearly labelled with the child's name and class at the bottom.

SEPTEMBER

• 27th - SchoolCloud booking system opens at 6pm for Y6 Parent Meeting with Mr Campbell
• 30th - We will be collecting donations for Pontefract Food bank from Monday 30th September until Friday 11th October

OCTOBER

• 1st - Deadline for payment of Marrick Residential Deposit - Year 5
• 2nd - Flu Immunisations - Whole School. Please see letter with link from NHS on our website
• 3rd - Special Lunch Menu - All children can join us for a special lunch, please see menu above. Payments will show on MCAS at the end of the day
• 7th - Heights and Weights - Year 6 - Please make sure you have retuned a form to confirm 'permission' or 'no permission' for your child (NHS run an 'opt out' system for this session)
• 14th - Reception Phonics Information session for Parents - 8.50am - 9.20am
• 15th - Y1 Phonics Information Session & Come see a Phonics Lesson for Parents (Strictly Adults Only) - 8.50am-9.45am
• 17th - In-person parent meeting with Mr Campbell for Y6 parents 1.00pm until 5.50pm
• 22nd - Reception Halloween Craft Session 2.15pm - Parents Invited
• 25th - Halloween Disco - Reception will have a party in their classroom, Year 1, 2 and 3 are in the hall from 2pm until 3pm. Year 4, 5, and 6 are in the hall from 3.10pm to 4.10pm. Tickets on sale soon. Children without tickets for the disco will stay in their classrooms or need to be collected at normal time.

• 25th - Deadline for payment of Pantomime Trip - Wakefield Theatre (Whole School)
• 26th - Reception Parents - Come see a Phonics lesson (Strictly Adults Only) - 9.00am-9.40am

DECEMBER

• 5th - Nativity dress rehearsal - children perform to KS2 to practise
• 6th - Christmas Fayre - Children can be collected from 2pm to attend the event
• 9th - KS2 at Theatre Royal Wakefield - Pantomime - Please see letter on website. Available on MCAS under 'Trips' **Children need to bring a snack for the interval**

KS1 and KS2 Clubs

Clubs for KS1 and KS2 run from 3.10pm to 4.10pm with the exception of Karate which finishes at 4pm

Children are collected from the Main Entrance. For outdoor activities please make sure your child brings a change of clothing to school on the day which are suitable for the activity booked.
