Mrs. Soares, our school social worker has established a clothes closet at both Melrose and Lawn Schools. It is stocked with gently used age appropriate clothing from out of district. Items include some coats, snow boots, pants, shorts, leggings, sweatshirts, sweaters and sneakers.

Not all sizes are available however there are many options.

If you have a child in need, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Soares for a confidential conversation to see if she can be of assistance.

Here are some tips to share with your child to keep their immune system strong during cold and flu season:

-Wash your hands often, especially before eating

-Eat lots of fruits and vegetables especially those containing beta carotene, zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D (nutrients from food are more beneficial than supplements)

-Drink water

-Get plenty of sleep

-Reduce stress

-Get outside for activity and Vitamin D

It's a great time to consider a flu vaccine or COVID-19 booster.

2024-25 PTO Information

All boys and girls, K thru 12th, are invited to join Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA. Scouts enjoy the flexibility of making friends, camping, and hiking, plus learning about first-aid, knots, and community citizenship. All activities are flexible, family friendly, and fit in with busy schedules. Email Troop2KingstonRI@gmail.com for more information.
