A Note from Mrs. Ricard!
Well, we are truly on the countdown now for the approaching winter break! We now have only 9 more days until our break begins! I know our students and staff are all looking forward to having a nice holiday break.
We will be celebrating our final countdown with our RBE’s December to Remember. Click here to find all of the fun events. We will also be announcing each day to students for some “holiday characters” to be on the lookout for as part of a fun Learning Commons Holiday Contest. Encourage your students to listen carefully to the afternoon announcements.
We also will have several Lunch & Learn opportunities this week by Zoom with our family liaison, Erica Lind, and our instructional coaches, Mrs. Carnagey and Mrs. Bannister. Please see below:
Wednesday, December 8, join us for a 2nd Grade Lunch & Learn: Tips for Learning Math Facts from 12:30 until 1 p.m. on Zoom. You can access the link here. Join us for a 5K Lunch & Learn: Tips for Reading from 12 until 12:30 p.m. on Zoom. You can access the link here.
On Thursday, December 9, Mrs. Bannister, math coach, and Mrs. Lind, family liaison, will host a 3rd Grade Lunch & Learn: Tips for Learning Math Facts from 12:30 until 1 p.m. on Zoom. You can access the link here. Join us for a 1st Grade Lunch & Learn: Tips for Reading from 12 until 12:30 p.m. on Zoom. You can access the link here.
We look forward to having you join us for these great events! We will also be having our Sole Stepping shoe distribution on Thursday, December 9. If your child signed up to receive shoes through this organization, they will come home with them on Thursday. We thank this wonderful organization for making a new pair of shoes possible for all that wished to receive them!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very restful and peaceful holiday season and winter break. We will miss you all, but will look forward to seeing you all in the New Year when we return on January 3, 2022! Happy Holidays! Be safe and well!

Update from S.T.E.A.M.
Hey Roadrunners! Here is a little STEAM Team update!
We have been diving deep into our curiosity and exploring the Engineering Design Process throughout this first semester. Coming up, we will be putting our gears to work while learning about computer programming and coding. We will also continue with our MakerSpace Engineering and, actually, could use your help! Is your family cleaning out around the holidays? Getting rid of any old toys, Legos, electronics? How about considering donating them to our STEAM Lab?! We are always in need of new and exciting tinkerings to take our curiosity to the next level! We collect these items throughout the year along with recyclable materials such as small cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, toilet paper and paper towel rolls, plastic bottles, different and odd shaped boxes, and the list goes on and on! Thanks so much for your help and support in bringing imagination to life!
