Parent/Family Update
July 15, 2022

Principal's Corner | August 28, 2023 | Weather Update
Dear Parents/Families,
I wanted to inform you about the impending tropical storm that is approaching our region. According to the latest forecasts, Hurricane Idalia is anticipated to escalate from a Category 1 hurricane tonight to a formidable Category 3 hurricane within the next 24 hours, as it moves over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. While we remain hopeful for the best outcome, it's crucial that we all remain prepared for any adverse circumstances.
We've received inquiries regarding the potential impact on our school operations and would like to provide you with an update to offer clear information:
- Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel aftercare for tomorrow (Tuesday). Our dismissal is tentatively scheduled to proceed as usual.
- The Osceola School District has officially announced that classes will proceed as scheduled tomorrow, August 29th.
- A determination regarding the status of school operations for Wednesday, August 30th, will be made tomorrow (Tuesday) in the late morning. This decision will be based on thorough consultations with the Osceola County Emergency Management.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration as we prioritize the safety of our school community. We will promptly share updates as new information becomes available.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Alejandro Lozano, Principal
