RULH Students Honor the First Responders of 9/11!
On Wednesday, September 11th, RULH Jr./Sr. High School students spent time honoring the first responders of 9/11. While those first responders climbed 2,071 steps to reach the top of one tower, RULH students climbed 294--some of them multiple times! Overall, RULH students climbed the equivalent of over 20 World Trade Centers! Members of the staff shared stories about their memories of that fateful day.
Also on September 11th, RULH Jr./Sr. High School Students and Staff gathered by the flagpole to begin their school day in observance of Patriot's Day. MCJROTC Marine Instructor Gunnery Sergeant Brian Cheek lowered the American Flag to half-staff. Students and staff observed a moment of silence in remembrance of those lost as a result of that day followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
