April Newsletter

Director's Corner
Dear ECDC Families,
We had so much fun in March. We started the month with Dr. Seuss Week. It was wonderful seeing the kids and teachers celebrating Dr. Seuss and all the whimsical fun he brought to children’s literature. From silly hair and sock days to career dress up days and all the creative artwork, it was a week of exploring and learning about a wonderfully unique author and illustrator. Another highlight in March was our Ash Wednesday Chapel. Pastor Carl, Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Paige put together a meaningful kid friendly Chapel. The 3s, 4s, and TK participated and were able to receive ashes and learn a little about the season of Lent. I hope you and your families enjoyed Spring Break the following week and, upon returning, we had caterpillars ready to be observed through their transformation into butterflies. More photos of this project, still in progress, to come.
April’s Chapel theme is “Happy Day.” We will be talking about Easter being the happiest day and how everyday can be happy because Jesus is alive. Our verse this month is “I am alive forever and ever!” -Revelation 1:18
April will be another month full of fun at ECDC. Easter is coming and there is lots of learning and celebrating to be done. Hopefully, you have seen information about the Family Easter Chapel we have added this year. It will be similar to Family Christmas Chapel, taking place in the Sanctuary at 9:30 on Tuesday, April 15th. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Hope to see you there!
Blessings,
Ms. Katie
