TK and Kinder Registration
Registration for TK and Kindergarten has started. Please inquire in our office and/or click on the link for more information https://www.antiochschools.net/page/ausd-enrollment
Registration and Enrollment for the 2024/2025 School Year
An information letter will be sent home during the summer with specifics about the 2024/2025 school year enrollment and registration. If you are not returning to Orchard Park for the 2024/2025 school year, please let the office know. Students that do not live in our attendance boundaries and have not already applied for either an intra or inter district transfer, will be automatically assigned to their home school site. Information about enrollment and transfers can be found on the district website https://tinyurl.com/j93dff5u
Registration is our annual activity for students already enrolled and active in our school’s database. Registration is a process used to confirm student information each year (address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc.), distribute needed school materials, and provide students’ their class assignment.
Registration for our school will be held on:
July 30th 10:00-2:00
July 31st 3:00-7:00
In order to make the registration process easier and quicker, families are encouraged to complete the registration forms online through the Aeries Parent Portal and bring the completion form to registration with them along with two forms of proof of address. Completing the Registration Data Confirmation online through Aeries will eliminate the need to fill-out the long paper packet and emergency cards at registration.
Warm Weather Dress Code Reminders
Shorts and summer tops start coming out during warmer weather. Some of these clothes are fine for the weekends, but not appropriate for school. Please refer to our handbook on our dress code policy to make sure your student isn’t wearing anything that might be in violation of our code https://tinyurl.com/mryacnce

Attendance Reminder
Lost and Found Reminder
The last day to pick up lost and found items is Thursday, June 6th. Anything left after that date will be donated.
STUDENT PERSONAL POSSESSIONS/PERSONAL PROPERTY
With the gift giving season recently behind us, many students may have received gifts that they want to bring to school to show their friends. The following is a reminder to all and taken directly out of our OPS handbook:
Electronic Devices (Cell Phones)
Education Code and Board of Education policy allow students to possess electronic signaling devices (cellular phones) as long as school site rules are followed. Students in possession of an electronic signaling device must have the device turned off and put away/out of sight while at school or while attending a school sponsored activity. To get a message to your child during the school day, please call the school office. Students needing to contact their parent during the school day will be required to use the school phone. This does not apply to students who must use an electronic signaling device that is determined by a licensed physician to be essential for the health of the student. Students should leave iPods and earphones at home. These items frequently get lost or damaged. Videoing students or staff, while at school, is not permitted.
Money
Money should not be brought to school unless needed for lunch, or other special needs. Money for pictures, fundraisers, field trip expenses, etc. should be paid by check, unless otherwise directed by the classroom teacher. Students are responsible for their own money. Please send all money in an envelope with your child’s name. Loose money is very quickly lost.
Things to Leave at Home
We ask students to be thoughtful of others both inside and outside the school buildings. Items that might disrupt class or cause injuries should be left at home. These include such things as electronic games, baseballs, bats, radios, fidget spinners, headphones, trading cards, candy, chewing gum, toys, and other similar objects. Only balls larger than and softer than tennis balls may be brought to school. Personal items should be clearly labeled with the student’s name. If the item is to be used on the playground during recess, the student is expected to share. Once again, the School and District are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any student’s personal property
Running Club
Last day for Running Club is May 29th
Parking Lot Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
2. If you would like to park and walk up to meet your child after school, please use a parking space.
3. If you would like to park and wait with your child before school, please use a parking space.
4. The curb area along the loop is for drop off and pick up. This is not a parking area. You cannot leave your car unattended here.
5. Neither lane in the loop is a place to park, especially the passing lane. Please do not park and block everyone behind you.
6. Please pull up to keep the flow of traffic moving.
7. Do not double park and allow your child to run across the parking lot to get to class or call your child to run across the parking lot to get to your car or park across the street and have your child run across traffic. These are both safety issues.
8. If a staff member asks you to pull up or move your car, please do so. They are doing this for either the safety of the students or to keep the flow of traffic moving.
9. Please do not speed through the parking lot for the safety of our students, staff, and families.
10. School drop off and pick up times are busy at any school. Expect the process to be a little time consuming.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Morning and After School Routine Reminders for Students and Families
Morning Routine:
- Students should not arrive at school before 7:50 AM. Since formal supervision does not begin until 7:50 AM, any elementary student who must arrive earlier is to wait in the main courtyard area only on the yellow line. Students are not to be on the playground before 7:50 AM.
- All elementary students arriving between 7:50 and 8:00 AM should go directly to the playground.
- Middle school students who arrive before 7:50 should wait at the picnic table area outside the cafeteria.
- All bikes, scooters, skateboards are to be walked at all times on campus.
- Breakfast is served in the cafeteria daily from 7:30-8:00.
After School Pick-Up Routine:
Formal supervision ends 15 minutes after the dismissal bell rings. Please be on-time to pick up your student because staff has meetings and other duties to attend after school lets out.
· Kindergarten: Top of the Loop in front of the Kindergarten Classroom
· 1-3 Grades: Loading zone adjacent to Primary Loop/Main Office
· 4-8 Grades: Loading zone adjacent to Multi use room/Library
Elementary and Middle School siblings should meet at the lunch tables outside the cafeteria and be picked up at the older siblings pick up area. Elementary and middle school students are not to wait outside siblings classrooms.
For the safety of students and staff, all AUSD campuses are closed campuses. Therefore, parents/guardians will need to say their morning goodbyes at the gate and/or wait at the gate for pick-ups. Anyone without a visitors pass, will be asked to leave campus. We thank you in advance for complying with our safety policy.
OPS Student/Parent Handbook
District Policy on Self-Defense and Fighting
SELF-DEFENSE AND FIGHTING
From time to time, students may have disagreements (verbal confrontations) which result in physical altercations. Any student involved in an exchange of blows WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR FIGHTING, regardless of who/what precipitated the exchange of blows. When blows are exchanged, this is a fight. Self-defense is the act of pushing away, holding off the aggressor, or otherwise avoiding the physical altercation. Please understand that if you encourage your child to “hit back” and he/she does, he/she WILL BE SUSPENDED. Hitting back is not self-defense, it is fighting. Encourage your student to resolve conflicts peacefully, find an adult to help, or talk to an adult at the school for assistance.
