NO Cell Phone Use During Instructional Time
Eagles, this is a reminder that cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted during instructional time. Our schoolwide cell phone policy states that ALL CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND OUT OF SIGHT DURING CLASS/INSTRUCTIONAL TIME. This means students should not use their phones at any point during class time, even if they step out of the classroom to use the restroom or go to the office. Starting Monday, 10/28, if you need to use the restroom during class time, your phone should remain in the classroom.
Cell phones and other devices, such as airpods, are permitted during snack and lunch, as well as before and after school. We take your education seriously and want to support your undivided attention to instruction and classwork. Thank you for your attention to this important expectation.

ATHLETICS
Student Athlete Profile
Student Athlete Profile: Maritza Corona 12th grade
How long have you been wrestling?
I’ve been wrestling now for about a year. I started last year, it was tough because I had to wrestle above my weight. My brother wrestled at John Glenn from 2014 to 2017, and he always encouraged me to join the team.
What is your favorite wrestling memory?
For sure my first pin. I remember Coach Hector told me, “remember to be aggressive.” Well, I went out there, I honestly don’t even remember how it happened, it just all happened so quickly. I just remember she tried to smoother me, I tripped her and I got the pin.
What are your plans for after high school ?
After high school, I want to got to college, most likely back east. I’m looking at Bates College in Maine or Barnard College in New York. I actually went and visited Bates College this past month.
Who is your favorite teacher?
It would be Mr. Higgins. He has a different sense of humor. For example yesterday for Halloween he dressed up like Edgar Allan Poe.
