Dear Families,
As we move into cold weather I would like to suggest the following. Please make sure to label all outerwear that your child may wear to school. Our lost and found is located near the entrance to the cafeteria and is slowly growing. Please encourage your child to wear appropriate clothes to school for the weather. They will be having PE and recess outside on a daily basis.

Chrome books
Please note that stickers, other than distrcit placed or teacher placed, are no longer aloud to be placed on Chrome books. Students that have stickers on thier Chrome books will be asked to remove them. Students are allow to purchase covers or cases for Chrome books if you so choose.

Did you know that if your child has missed more than they are considered chronically absent? The effects on chronically absent students are major. Please make sure your child is attending school.

Highlighted Rules
NEW dress RULES FOR 24/25 school year.
1. No make up allowed to be brought to school. Students wmay wear make up to school as long as it doesn't cause a distraction to oneself or others but may not bring and make up to apply. (clear lip balm or chapsticks are allowed but may not be shared)
2. No crocs are allowed at school-As crocs are a comfy pair of shoes. we have had several incidents of them causing safety issues. If a student has crocs on they will be asked to call home for regular shoes.
3. No Pajama bottoms allowed. As part of our goal of creating professional students here at Julia Morgan we are asking that students not wear Pajama bottoms to school unless it is a designated spirit day.
As we are heading into warmer weather please make sure all students are adhereing to our clothing policy...
DRESS GUIDELINES
Our goal is to promote a safe and wholesome academic environment with concern for the health, safety, and well-being of students and the avoidance of distractions to learning.
Shorts, skorts and skirts may be no shorter than mid-thigh. Sweatshirts may be hooded, but hoods are not to be worn inside. Shoes must be fitted to the foot. No open toed shoes are allowed. Sandals are not permitted.
Dress standards include, but are not limited to the following items prohibited from being worn on campus:
• Hair nets or bandannas
• Hanging belts or chains
• Open toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops, backless shoes, or steel-toed shoes
Crocs on PE days
Short shorts, shorter than mid thigh
Rips or holes in pants must be below mid thigh or no skin exposed if shorter.
• Tops which are: tank, double-tank, spaghetti strap, transparent/see-through, backless, tube, halter, or tops which have loose armholes, expose the midriff or undergarments, or have scooped or low-cut necklines
• Clothing that reflects PG 13 movies, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, gang-related activity, and sexual connotations
Large, dangling earrings
Long, dangling necklaces
Any student whose dress is offensive, distracting, or unsafe for self and others will be sent to the office to call home for a change of clothing.
