3rd Grade Orientation
We ask parents and caregivers of 3rd grade students to attend our 3rd grade orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 10th at 5:30 PM.
Come meet our staff and learn about your child's day at school. Our goal is to inform families of practices and procedures that are new as students transition to 3rd grade and upper elementary school. This is an important way to strengthen our home-school partnership.
4th & 5th Grade Open House
On Thursday, Oct 3 at 5:30 PM, we invite all 4th and 5th grade students and their families to come to school and learn more about their child's teachers, academic goals, specials classes, and school programs. We would love to see all 4th and 5th grade families attend and continue building a strong school-home relationship with this year’s teachers.
Fall Assessments
This week, we start our fall assessments using Fastbridge. The Fastbridge assessment is a computer-adaptive assessment that is administered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring each year measuring student progress and growth in reading and math. This assessment complements state and classroom-level assessments that are used to monitor progress in student learning, inform curriculum development, and guide programming decisions.
During fall conferences, you will receive a copy of the Fastbridge Family Report.
Spirit Day Friday - Wear Red!
For our first spriit day, we are showing our school pride. Students are encouraged to wear their Mount Horeb Viking gear to school on Friday.
