UPCOMING TESTING FOR 2nd & 6th GRADERS
This fall, the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test – Third Edition (NNAT3) will be administered to all PWCS students in grades 2 and 6. We want to take this opportunity to provide you with some information about this test and why it is administered.
Please use the link to VIEW PARENT LETTER FROM PWCS TESTING DEPT. This letter will explain the administration of and purpose of the NNAT3 test.
VGA PARENT REPORTS COMING SOON
VGA PARENT REPORTS will be provided to 3rd-5th grade parents at Parent/Teacher Conferences the first week of November. Middle school Parent Reports will be sent home with students on October 31st.
NJS SERVICE PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP

We are asking for canned vegetables and fruit, starches and grains, nonperishable food, and thanksgiving-type ingredients. Please VIEW THE FLYER to view specific item requests.
You can send the donations with your student to school OR you may drop them off in the front office at your convenience. Thank you!

Students will be voting all next week during the school day. FAMILIES and FRIENDS are asked to join us Thursday night for family fun, games, and VOTING ON YOUR FAVORITE PUMPKIN!!
FAMILY VIEWING & VOTING NIGHT - Thursday, October 24th from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
ALL pumpkins will need to be PICKED UP on Friday, October 25th after Career Day or at the Elementary Dance that night.
2024 CAREER DAY IS COMING SOON!
CAREER DAY…has been scheduled for Friday, October 25th. This is a big event and a favorite of many Porter students. Elementary students get to come to school dressed as their future career! Middle school students can come to school dressed to impress as if they are going to a job interview!

✅ Front Office VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES...we've created a VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP for any miscellaneous volunteer work we have for the front office. We will keep it updated as opportunities come up...so, be sure to look at it periodically.
✅ MULTICULTURAL NIGHT...(November 13) Receive VOLUNTEER HOURS for hosting a cultural table representing your country! Use the link to SEE MORE INFORMATION.
✅ PTO needs VOLUNTEERS for their "Porter Gives Back" community service project...Saturday, October 19th. The project is beautifying the school! Use the link to SIGN-UP FOR THIS PROJECT.
