Just a reminder that students should niot be using their Smartwatches or cell phones during the instructional day for communication. The school will assist students in making emergency calls home or will call on the student's behalf, but Smartwatches or cell phones should not be used for texts or calls during the school day. We appreciate your cooperation with the district policy.
PTA connects families, schools and communities by providing programs and services at your child’s school. PTA is the nation’s largest volunteer-led child-advocacy association working to drive improvements in the education, health and well-being of all children and families. When you are a member of PTA, you are an advocate for your child and for all children.
Parents interested in volunteering in classrooms must complete volunteer paperwork and have an up-to-date TB test on record. Please click here for link to the TVUSD Volunteer page.
Field Trip Chaperone Information
If you are interested in chaperoning your child's field trip, we kindly request that you complete the volunteer clearance process. You can begin this procedure now. Please review the following details.
How Do I Begin the Process?
MOST IMPORTANT! Volunteering to chaperone a field trip is equivalent to volunteering in the classroom. Before asking a teacher to chaperone you MUST complete the TVUSD Volunteer Paperwork and be approved to volunteer.
Once you have completed the paperwork, please meet with our Attendance Clerk, Jennifer Palumbo, to ensure that you have completed the entire process and have been approved. Please reach out to her with any questions via jpalumbo@tvusd.us
After ALL of the above has been completed, then you may be eligible to chaperone your child’s field trip.
