Shark Club: Homework/assignment help. Snacks are provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kids will go home on the 4:20 bus.

Math tutoring: Help with math homework/assignments.

Reading club: Students will work on reading strategies to improve their reading skills.

Social Justice Club: Students will discuss a variety of social issues and possible solutions.

Future Owls Club: Intensive support for students struggling with multiple subjects.

Shafer is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the presence and influence of the Latinx culture in our society.

Students participate in daily trivia questions on A Days, and students learn fun and interesting facts about Hispanic culture and accomplishments on B Day. Content is posted daily on the library’s Schoology group and during the Sunny Side Up television announcements. Last week, we learned that 62 million people identify as Hispanic in the United States and about Celia Cruz, known as the “Queen of Salsa” for her beautiful voice.

Ms. Rojas, our school librarian, created both a digital and physical bookshelf for students to access reading material by Hispanic authors and about notable Hispanic figures. Feel free to explore these resources and encourage students to check out these books from our school library.

Monday – Friday: Tryouts/Practice for all fall sports until 5:00 p.m.

Cuts will be made on Tuesday or Wednesday. Rosters will be sent out shortly after.

All Bucks County Health Department vaccine clinics are now accepting individuals ages 12+. You may learn more about the vaccine clinic locations, hours, and procedures on the Bucks County Health Department website.

To pay for Chromebook repairs:

You may submit a Money Order or Certified Check to the office (these are available at places like 7-11 and the post office).

OR

You can follow the directions below to pay by credit card using PayPal (no account required) online:

1. From Bensalemsd.org click on the Departments pull down menu and select Technology.
2. In the blue box on the right select Chromebooks
3. In the blue box on the right select Student Chromebook Insurance Claim.
4. Halfway down the page, above the photo, select Click Here to Pay Your Chromebook Repair Invoice
