Course Selection
Course selection for the 2025-26 school year is now open!
Everything you need can be found at this quicklink: bit.ly/chsregistration25 You received more information from your English teacher.
You are encouraged to choose courses carefully and be thoughtful in your selections as well as those ‘alternates’ you select, in case we are unable to schedule you in one of your other choices. You must enter 7 courses, plus at least 2 alternates in HAC. If you have questions about graduation requirements, a course, or prerequisites for courses, you will be able to find the answer in the Graduation Requirement Video and/or the Course Selection Guide. The deadline to enter your requests in HAC is Feb. 2nd.
Because the number of staff and classes needed will be determined this spring, schedule changes in the fall will be granted only for very specific reasons - such as meeting graduation requirements, course prerequisites or other extenuating circumstances.
It is very important that you choose courses you are interested in and can be successful in.
There are four easy steps
Step 1: View the Introduction Video and select your courses
Step 2: Update your Student Success Plan (you likely started this in 9th grade Keystone)
Step 3: Complete the task(s) in the Class of 2026 Google Classroom (code: vascxjt)
Step 4: Enter your course requests in HAC
Enter your requests by February 2nd! You will meet individually with your counselor - during English class - between Feb. 3rd and 11th.
The links are also located on the SSC website at cabotschools.org > Find My School > Cabot High School and click on Student Success Center in the Related Pages box.

Cabot High School will offer the ACT WorkKeys® Assessment to all seniors on Wednesday, Apr. 9th. This is a FREE opportunity for all seniors to gain insight on their workplace skills and knowledge.
Sign up here: CHS WorkKeys 2025 Registration The registration deadline is Friday, Mar. 7th at 3pm.
What is the ACT WorkKeys® Assessment?
The ACT WorkKeys® Assessment measures essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations and represents work readiness through the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The purpose of the NCRC is to provide students with a workplace certification that demonstrates their preparedness for the workforce, and measures their knowledge and skills in three areas:
Applied Mathematics: Demonstrate your ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
Locational Skills: Assess your understanding of maps, charts, and other visual aids to navigate and interpret information.
Reading for Information: Show your ability to read and comprehend workplace documents, such as manuals, reports, and emails.
There are four certified NCRC levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Why should you take it?
Gain valuable insights: The assessment provides you with a personalized skills report, highlighting your strengths and areas for improvement.
Boost your resume: Employers value the skills measured by WorkKeys®. Having a strong WorkKeys® score can make your application stand out.
Explore career pathways: The assessment can help you identify potential career paths that align with your skills and interests.
Earn industry-recognized credentials: Achieve valuable certifications that demonstrate your workplace readiness to potential employers.

CHS Check Out Policy
CHS students will be allowed to check out with a parent/guardian note only. A parent/guardian phone number will need to be included on the checkout note for verification purposes.
***No phone call checkouts will be allowed because of safety concerns.
CHS is a closed campus and we strongly discourage students from checking out at lunch. This typically causes unnecessary tardies and classroom interruptions. If a student is checking out at lunch, a parent/guardian must physically come in and sign the student out and them back in from lunch.
Only a parent/guardian is allowed to drop lunch off for a student. If a parent/guardian is dropping off lunch for a student, there will be a table (outside the office) with a sharpie for the students name to be written on it. Students should know in advance that lunch is being dropped off to them.
