New This Week!
Its Time to Fall Back One Hour on Sunday 11/3/24
- Maintain a consistent bedtime: A consistent bedtime routine cues your brain that it's time for sleep.
- Practice good sleep routines: Poor sleep routines before beed can make it harder to fall asleep, especially after a time change.
- Avoid screen time: The blue light from screens can suppress melatonin production, keeping your body in a state of high alert.
- Avoid long naps: Long naps can make it harder to adjust your circadian rhythm to the new time.
- Avoid sleep aids: Taking melatonin or some prescription sleeping pills can make you less alert during the day.
- Create a relaxing nighttime routine: Incorporate relaxing activities into your nightly routine.
- Eat with care: Stick to your normal mealtimes, avoid too much sugar or caffeine to close to bed time.
- See you on time at school!

School will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veteran's Day
Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It began, and now coincides with other holidays which are commemorated in other countries, marking the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May: Veterans Day commemorates the service of all U.S. veterans, while Memorial Day specifically honors those who have died while in military service
