Secondary School Update
November 22nd, 2024

ROCORI Families -
We are thrilled to share our new ROCORI Course Registration Guide for 2025-2026! This collaborative effort among administration, instructional coaches, counselors, and teachers aims to guide students in shaping their secondary career exploration. The guide aligns courses with career pathways, helping students discover their interests and talents while gaining a competitive edge for the future.
NEW RHS COURSE REGISTRATION PROCESS
Click the watch now button for an introduction to our new registration materials.
Check out the RHS 25-26 Course Registration Guide! Supporting documents for the registration process can be accessed under the Registration Resource tab on the left side of the document. We encourage you to explore potential classes that align with your student's interests and future goals in the days leading up to registration.
Students have begun, and will continue to work on their four-year academic plans and complete their 2025-2026 registration sheets during homeroom over the next two weeks. These documents and course selections will be discussed during the registration information nights on January 20th and 27th. ROCORI Registration Conferences can now be scheduled with your student's homeroom teacher through Skyward via the βMy Conference Scheduler.β
Please note: These meetings focus on discussing students' future and course options, not reviewing this yearβs academic progress. While progress discussions can be scheduled anytime upon request, these conferences are designed to help students think about the skills they are developing in middle and high school.
Students will complete their course registration in Skyward on February 4th during an extended homeroom. Middle school students will enter registration into Skyward February 3rd-5th during their English class.
REGISTRATION CONFERENCES
On January 20th and January 27th we will be hosting registration conference nights from 3:30-7:00 PM with homeroom/Spartan Time teachers for the middle school and high school. Scheduling for these evenings is now open and available through Skyward Family Access via "My Conference Scheduler." Watch the 60 Second Video Tutorial below to see how to set up registration conferences for your students.
RMS REGISTRATION CONFERENCES
Employers consistently report that having βsoft skillsβ is the most important preparation that students can have to be ready for the world of work. These skills that we have classified in the areas of Kindness, Responsibility, and Respect will have a large bearing on their employability in the future. Our registration conferences with Spartan Time teachers for 6th and 7th grade will focus on completing and reviewing a Soft Skills Inventory with the student. We will also engage these students in conversations surrounding their talents, passion, and future plans for exploration.
8th grade will focus on high school registration, see information above.
