BCES News You Can Use
January 2025 Newsletter
What's Happening This Month:
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you rested, recharged, and ready to embark on an exciting new chapter as we begin the second half of the school year.
The start of January is a wonderful time for fresh beginnings, renewed focus, and setting goals. Together, we’ll continue creating a positive, supportive environment where our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
To our incredible faculty and staff, thank you for your dedication and passion. Your commitment to our students inspires me daily, and I am confident that your efforts will continue to make a lasting impact in 2025.
To our parents and guardians, your partnership plays a crucial role in our school community. Thank you for prioritizing attendance and ensuring your child was present in December—great job! Let’s maintain that momentum in the new year. To encourage perfect attendance, students who achieve it in January will be entered into a drawing for a school spirit shirt or a free KONA ICE.
Your involvement and encouragement mean the world to your children and us. Let’s continue working together to support their growth and success.
I am looking forward to an amazing semester filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable moments. Let’s make this year one to remember!
Please note that progress reports were sent home yesterday for grades 1st-5th.
Welcome Back!

We have to limit the number to 10 parents because of space limitations. Please click here to sign up to eat with your child. You can only eat with your child TWICE a month. This will allow other parents to take advantage of eating with their child.
Considerations for Lunch Guests
- All lunch guests must be on your child's white card.
- We ask for one lunch guest per child per visit due to space limitations.
- All guests will be required to sign in at the front office and wear a visitor's badge while on campus.
- All visitors will eat with their child at a designated area in the lunchroom. Due to space and safety, only your child will be permitted to eat lunch with you during this special lunch date.
- No outside food will be permitted during your visit.

Transportation Changes
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES
- There are two approved methods for making transportation changes
1. Send a note to the teacher. Include the address to go to, date, and parent's signature.
- Young students often forget to give notes to the teacher, so it is strongly recommended that you follow up with a call to the office (912-626-5033) to make sure we received the note.
2. Send a text message to 912-292-9315. Please include the student’s full name and the new address they need to go to.
- Texts must come from a phone number you have registered with the school.
All messages must be received by 2:15 at the latest.
- Messages will be checked at 2:15 and you will receive a response from the school between 2:15-2:40.
- This number is not a working telephone number and therefore does not receive phone calls. It only receives text messages

WHY IS EARLY INTERVENTION IMPORTANT?
Why Is Early Intervention Important? Early Intervention provides support, resources, and services to young children diagnosed with, suspected of having, or being at risk of developmental delays. If you have concerns, please talk to your child's pediatrician. You can also contact Bryan County School's early intervention program and ask to have your little one evaluated to see if he/she has a developmental delay or disability.
