April 2025
Principal's Message
April provides a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate a few important days that remind us of the values of kindness, awareness, and care for both our communities and our planet.
On April 2, we will observe World Autism Awareness Day (wearing blue), a day to reflect on the importance of acceptance, inclusion, and understanding of individuals with Autism. It’s a time to support those with Autism and their families, while promoting an environment where everyone can thrive.
On April 7, we recognize Green Shirt Day in honor of organ donation awareness. This day encourages us to wear green and learn about the life-saving impact of organ donation, while also honoring those whose lives have been changed through the gift of life.
Finally, on April 22, we will celebrate Earth Day, a global movement to protect and cherish our planet. It’s a perfect time to engage our children in thinking about how we can all take small steps toward a more sustainable future, whether it’s through recycling, conserving energy, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.
Let’s take this month as an opportunity to reflect on these causes and teach our children the importance of compassion, awareness, and stewardship in their own lives. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making our school a place of inclusivity and care!
Thank you to our school council who are always busy supporting the school with hot lunches and all our other fundraisers.
Thank you to Jim Lawton who donated funds to support brand new volleyball standards and nets! We look forward to having these in the building for this fall!
Thank you to Amber Stauffer for helping out on Spring Picture Day (Wed, April 9).
Thank you to Central Alberta Co-op for continuing to sponsor our wood shop option class!

Register now for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten - Fall 2025
Fall registration numbers are important for determining school budgets, class sizes, and in-school supports; particluarly in the early years.
If you know of someone who is interested in our Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten program, please let them know they are welcome to set up an appointment to visit either program.

Thank you for attending our Celebration of Learning!
Thursday, March 20
After school we held our Celebration of Learning, where students led their parents through classroom activities and showcased their learning. It was great to see so many families in the school! We could see the smiles on your childrens' faces and hear the pride in their voices. It was a great night and we hope that everyone who came out enjoyed it as well!
Thank you for checking out the lost and found collection on your way out. Any items that remain and the end of the school year will be donated.
