March 2024 Update
Post Falls School District Newsletter
Superintendent's Message
Happy Spring, Post Falls Families!
There has been a lot of talk surrounding the state's move back to attendance-based funding. Since 2020, districts received money based on the number of students enrolled. This year, money allocated to districts is based on how many students attend each day. The funding loss from the state for each student's absence is roughly $43 per day. While $43 doesn't seem like much, when we take the average daily absences and project them over the year, it adds up to a loss of nearly $3 million dollars in state funding. Are you curious about your child's' school? See the chart below...

Treaty Rock boasted the top-scoring 4th grader for the division, Ethan T., and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place top scoring 5th graders: Gady F., Preston G., Sebastian S., and Michael D. "The name (Math is Cool) lives up to the competition," reported Ethan T. "I loved it all . . the individual and team competitions, the pizza and the awards ceremony was super cool! I definitely want to do this again."
It was certainly an exciting event for our PFSD elementary students. The Treaty Rock teams are headed to the Masters Competition in Moses Lake soon. Good luck!
