Important Update - Cell Phone Policy
Cellphones are a great way to communicate with your student, however, please know that we cannot excuse your student from class unless the front office sends a pass for them. Also, if you have something urgent that you need to communicate with your student, calling the office is one of the best ways to do so. This way, the school can help in an emergency and we can make sure your student gets the message. Students are using their parents as a reason for needing to use their phone in class, so we wanted you to be aware that if your student does not answer your text or phone call immediately, it means they are focused on their school work. Thank you for partnering with us on this issue.
Golddigger/Duster Families,
As we reflect on October, we are proud to share that it has been a busy and productive month here at the middle and high school. We truly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with many of you during our recent Parent/Teacher conferences. Your partnership is invaluable to us and plays a crucial role in the success of our students.
Our fall sports season has been nothing short of remarkable! Volleyball ended strong with a win at home last week! We are thrilled to announce that our football team has achieved league champion status for the first time since 1955. This historic accomplishment speaks volumes about the hard work and dedication of our players and coaching staff. Additionally, our boys' cross country team also claimed the title of league champions, with both the boys' and girls' teams representing us exceptionally well at the state competition. We are excited to see how our winter sports teams will perform as the season progresses!
As we embrace the arts, we are equally thrilled to present our fall play, “A Night with Shakespeare,” which opens this Thursday, November 7th, at 7 PM and runs through Saturday evening. We invite you to join us for an engaging evening filled with talent and creativity. More information about the performances is included below.
Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for semester exams, which will take place the week of December 16th. A detailed schedule will be shared soon. Please note that early exam requests will be granted only for family or medical emergencies, and all approvals will go through my office.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Together, we are making a positive impact on our students’ educational journey.
