Student Council News
There will be two informational meetings next week for freshmen interested in running for Student Council. All interested candidates must attend one of the meetings. The options are Monday, August 19 from 3:15pm to 3:30pm or Wednesday, August 21 from 3:15pm to 3:30pm. Both meetings will take place in room W2106.
The first Homecoming Court Election will take place on Thursday, August 22. This is a SENIOR ONLY election. Seniors can nominate up to ten of their peers for the Homecoming Court. A link will be posted on Canvas. Results will be shared on Canvas on Friday, August 23.
Summer Service Hours (10th, 11th, & 12th Grade)
All 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students are required to complete six hours of community service to have been excused from school on August 14. As a friendly reminder, it is essential to record your service in x2VOL. Instructions on how to record your hours can be found on the community service page of the high school website. To ensure timely completion, please enter your hours online by Monday, September 30. Failure to do so will result in the retroactive marking of an unexcused absence for Wednesday, August 14 and a potential Saturday School.
Food Delivery & Lunch
To prioritize safety and security, Upper Arlington High School will no longer permit students to order food from delivery services, such as DoorDash. This decision follows intentional observation, as the practice has led to security concerns. When students search for their deliveries, they may inadvertently open locked doors or interact with unknown individuals, compromising the safety of our school. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you plan accordingly.
New UA Schools App
Get ready for school by downloading the new Upper Arlington Schools app! The launch of our new district app coincides with our new website, launched in June. The app gives families access to important information like school year calendars, school day schedules, and information to report a student absence — all in the palm of their hands. You can download the app in the App Store or Google Play.

META Powerschool Outage on Saturday
META Columbus will be performing scheduled maintenance on Saturday August 17 from 6AM to 6PM in order to replace the data center's uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
During this time, Powerschool and other services will be unavailable.
Attendance Procedures
Student Attendance
Attendance is a critical component to learning. Students need to show up in order to take full advantage of the education programs we offer. When a student has an unexcused absence from class, both student and parents/guardians will be notified the next day and a consequence (detention) may be assigned for each unexcused absence. Be sure to check your attendance each day to ensure it is accurate.

Pre-Planned Absence Forms

Medical Notes
Please submit your medical notes to uahsattendance@uaschools.org. In order for attendance hours to not accumulate towards habitual absence triggers, medical documentation is needed.
