DECA Officers Get Recognition
Congratulations to our officers, Mehrish Charania, Kathleen Reyes, Riya Ninan, and Mikaailali Wallany for receiving the DECA Emerging Leader Honor Award! The DECA Emerging Leader Honor Award is a recognition to those DECA members who have been involved in their local chartered association and recognizes all their hard work in maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA, taking a CTE class, and participating in numerous activities to become better leaders. Each of these DECA officers fulfilled these responsibilities over the last 4 years. Thanks for your loyalty to both DECA and CTE!
Parkview DECA just had their trip to the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. Everyone put in countless hours of work to prepare their presentations. Our members had a wonderful time in Anaheim, California, and if you didn’t make it to ICDC this year, don’t worry you will have another chance to place next year for ICDC in Orlando, Florida!
Thank you to everyone who attended our April Meeting! We gave some updates and information at the meeting regarding our End of the Year Banquet which will be held on May 14th at 6 pm. Today is the last day to RSVP for it so hurry up and reserve your spot for our End of the Year Banquet where we will announce next year's officers and provide refreshments and awards!

Attendance Tip of the Week
Attendance on Block Schedule Testing Days
- Attendance is always required, even on testing days.
- If you choose to stay home or come in late/check out, it is considered an unexcused absence, unless you have a county approved excuse.(See the attendance policy here)
- If you plan to check out for any reason on these busy days, please have your student bring a note to the attendance office in the morning, this helps us to limit the classroom interruptions and helps you avoid having to come in to check your student out.
- We can not not call into a room where testing is being conducted, even if your student says they have completed their test. We have timed testing blocks that we must adhere to.
There are No Check Outs after 1:30 PM
Please remember that a student can not be checked out after 1:30 PM. If you have an appointment please plan accordingly. The best practice for checking out a student is to have the student bring a note to the Attendance Office before school so they can be given a pass to check out. This cuts down on class interruptions and students can swing by the attendance office to complete the check out process and meet you at your car.
Getting Your Driver's License?
Did You Know?
The Attendance Office is where you can pick up your ADAP certificate(if you took PE/Health in person at Parkview) and your Certificate of Enrollment after you order them on MyPaymentsPlus.
During the summer these forms will be mailed to the address on file at the school. Please take into consideration when ordering.
2024/25 Schedule Verification and Summer School Intent Information
- Schedule Verification will run from Friday, May 3rd through Friday, May 10th.
- Students can view their course requests for the 2024/25 school year in the StudentVue app or through their Student Portal under the Course Request tab.
- The Curriculum Office has been building the master schedule of classes for the 2024/25 school year and has worked through course conflicts with student schedules.
- After looking at your course requests, please use the link or the QR code below to complete the form about your schedule. There is a place to submit if you feel there is an error. Paper registration sheets will be referenced to determine if an error exists.
- Please understand that some requests for a change in placement/level were denied due to students currently not performing in the A range in the current subject area class. Student classes could have changed since registration due to conflicts and what course would work with all other courses in a student's schedule. Course registration sheets and alternates were used in making these changes.
- As a reminder, students were able to request changes to their schedules during the registration process in February. Students may no longer request changes to courses in their schedule as we built the master schedule of courses based on what students registered to take in February.
- If a student plans to take a course over the summer that is currently in the student’s course requests, please complete the Summer School Intent form using the link below so that the Curriculum Office will know what course you desire after we have received final grades for summer classes. Changes will be made based on space availability once we have received documentation of successful course completion. Many electives such as Food/Nutrition/Wellness, Food Science, Food for Life, and Guitar are already full.
