WMS Weekly Bulletin
May 20-26, 2019
Expectations review:
- No wandering scholars - they need to stay in class for the duration of the final exam times. If a scholar MUST go somewhere, 1) ask questions to ensure they are truly on a mission, 2) send them with a completely filled out hall pass, 3) give them a deadline to return to class (ie. 4 minutes).
- The library is closed this week. Scholars can return books to the book drop in the main hallways during passing periods.
- Scholars should have phones stowed (backpacks or pockets) at all times unless being used for an *instructional* purpose as part of a lesson. Phones are stowed during Advocate.
- Tardies, dress code & wearing IDs are still enforced.
- No food & drink in classrooms.
- All staffulty are expected to stand at classroom doors during passing periods and shuffle kids to class.
- All hands on deck for morning and afternoon duty this week. Staffulty will go to their normal duty spot every day this week.
Also, please be on the lookout for students who are not looking forward to the summer months--those who are sluggish, lack enthusiasm, or may be acting out. Reach out to them and make sure they know we have a food pantry that can support their families, even when school is out. Let them know we will miss them, and we are here for them.
Jeans this week with Warhawk gear.
Go Warhawks! And, remember, you belong here.

Nonetheless, the two surveys you need complete for Mishler's box are linked below.
Teacher Check Out - Report Card Summary
Each scholar needs to have a semester average (you may need to hand average some scholar’s grades) due to Mrs. Todaro in the Counseling Office by 10:30 am Saturday, May 25th.
Teacher Check Out - Textbooks
Any items for which the number distributed (DIST) does not match the number collected (CLTD) indicates a missing item. Let's locate as many of these items as we can to avoid audit charges! Missing items not located prior to check-out may be charged to your department's budget for the following school year.
Moving Supplies
Locker Cleanout
Scholars should remove their belongings and leave the locker door open. An admin staff member will come by and verify the locker is clean prior to removing the scholar's name from the locker list.
Not all scholars have lockers assigned - approximately 1/3 of our scholars have one assigned. In most cases, this is in the area close to your advocate class, but is not 100%. If a locker combination or number is needed, it may be found on the WMS Go page on Schoology-->Lockers. All staff have the ability to look up who a locker is assigned to and its combination (use the first combination column).
Lunch on Saturday
The coaching staff, along with several other teachers, would like to have one more fundraiser for Mr. Stewart and his amazing family. Even though Gavin is out of the hospital, we thought it would be nice to try to help alleviate some of the monetary stress going into the summer months.
The fundraiser is simply...food; BBQ more precisely, that is provided by our "50 Men Who Can Cook" cooking team, Coach Owens & Mr. Tanner Hagerman. We will be providing rib sandwiches with chips for $10.00/plate, and ALL of the proceeds will go directly to Mr. Stewart and his family! If you would like a plate, click the link below and it will take you to the Google form to place your order.
Please fill out the google form by Wednesday, the 22nd, and pay Mrs. Hagerman by Friday, the 24th. Meals will be delivered on Saturday, the 25th, for lunch.
