Board Report July 2024

• It is nice to have Mike Hayes back from knee surgery and Jimmy Hall back after his foot surgery.

• Two HVAC units were replaced in a Bailey Inglish Classroom and C8 in Admin.

• Claude has been assisting Gallagher with the location of the utilities around LH Rather as the new utility and demolition stage is set to begin.

• The grounds crew is staying busy with mowing and delivering supplies.

• The Transportation Department has been completing summer maintenance on all the vehicles.

• The Transportation Department has removed the faded hoods from the buses and had a contractor paint and repair them.

• The Tech Team have been on all campuses to: cleanup laptop carts, cleanup Chromebook carts, replace nonfunctioning Promethean Boards, etc.
  

• New Sound Systems have been installed at the Bailey Inglish Cafetorium and the Finley Oates Cafetorium.
  

• Summer plans are being made: backup upgrades, devices repair, firewall improvements, security camera upgrades and many others just to name a few.

• The guys have assisted the BHS office staff as they have switched several offices.

• The LH Rather teaching staff will receive new laptops. The Tech Team have been setting them up on the network and getting them ready to distribute.

Please drive by and see the progress:

1. The front awning has been removed for utility work.

2. Storm and sewer pipe/drains are being installed.

3. Water taps are being installed.

4. The HVAC has been moved from the ground to the roof for several classrooms and the gym HVAC was relocated to the east side.

5. Excavation work has started where the new building will be located.
