Update Your Student's Information in FinalForms
Now is the time to confirm your studentβs enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year by updating their information in FinalForms. This information helps us determine class schedules, bussing details, and more, so we encourage you to complete it before the school year begins. If students do not have access to their school email, they can complete their portion of FinalForms on the first day of school.
Important Update Regarding Bus Route Information
We're experiencing a delay in uploading bus schedule information for the 2024-2025 school year due to an issue with FinalForms. Our transportation team is working closely with them to resolve the problem and we will provide an update when available. Once the route information is loaded, you will be able to view it on the transportation information page in FinalForms.
Huber Heights City Schools have redesigned our transportation routes for the 2024-2025 school year to improve bus efficiency. The goal of the new route system is to reduce the time students spend traveling to and from school each day and to decrease the number of miles driven by our transportation staff.
If you have any questions, please contact our Transportation Department at 937-237-6385.

Grand Opening of New Track Facility at Heidkamp Stadium
In June, we were thrilled to host a special event at Heidkamp Stadium where we celebrated two significant milestones in Huber Heights City Schools history.
First, we honored our Wayne Warriors Girls Track & Field team for winning the 2024 OHSAA Division I State Championship. We also celebrated the Wayne Boys team for their outstanding peformance as State Runner-Up, missing the team title by just one point.
Second, we unveiled the highly anticipated new Track complex at Heidcamp Stadium. This state-of-the-art facility marks a major upgrade for our community and promises to support continued success for our student athletes.
We look forward to seeing our student athletes using the track this fall as they gear up for another outstanding and exciting year.
Cell Phones Information for Wayne High School
Recently, Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Department of Education and Workforce Director Stephen D. Dackin announced the publication of a model policy designed to minimize student use of cell phones during school hours. This model policy prohibits or discourages students from using cell phones or similar electronic communication devices on school property during school hours. Students must keep their cell phones in a secure place such as their locker, a closed backpack, or a storage device provided by the district, whenever cell phone use is prohibited.
Exceptions to the policy include cases when students must use their cell phones for a documented purpose as part of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or for monitoring a health concern.
The Department created the model cell phone policy as part of the requirements of House Bill 250, recently signed into law by Governor DeWine. H.B. 250 mandates every school district in the state to establish an official policy governing cell phone usage and emphasizes limiting cell phones to the greatest extent possible by July 1, 2025.
We are communicating this information with you now to begin changing the mindset of students and families. Recent research shows that students are more engaged in their learning when they are not tempted by their devices. Far too many students are focused on engaging with peers which often results in various school issues. We want to partner with you to help students use their time wisely and support their intellectual growth.
School districts have the option to adopt the Departmentβs model policy or create their own policy, provided it meets all the requirements within H.B. 250. Wayne High School, and Huber Heights City Schools, will be engaging with the school community during the year to gather feedback on this important topic. We will communicate the adopted cell phone policy once finalized. Until then, we ask that students follow their classroom teacherβs expectations regarding cell phone use.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Weisenborn Junior High School
Welcome Scott Jacobs to the Weisenborn Administrative Team
We are thrilled to welcome Scott Jacobs to the Weisenborn administrative team for the upcoming school year as our new 7th-grade assistant principal. Before coming to Huber Heights, he was a teacher and administrator at Northmont High School. We can't wait to see his enthusiasm for education energize our community at Weisenborn!
New Weisenborn Cell Phone Policy for 2024-2025
Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, all students will be required to keep their electronic devices, including cell phones, in their bookbags and place them in their assigned lockers during the school day. This policy is being implemented to help ensure that our students remain focused on their school work and minimize distractions in the classroom.
We understand that cell phones and other electronic devices are an integral part of modern life and can be important for communication and learning. However, we believe that reducing their presence during instructional time will significantly enhance our students' ability to concentrate, engage with their teachers and peers, and ultimately succeed academically.
To help with this transition, here are a few key points:
Lockers Usage: Each student will be assigned a locker where they can securely store their bookbags and electronic devices.
Communication: In case of emergencies, parents and guardians can always contact the school office, and we will ensure messages are promptly delivered to students.
Exceptions: If there are any specific needs or exceptions that need to be considered, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school administration.
We kindly ask for your support and cooperation in reinforcing this policy with your child. By working together, we can create a more focused and productive learning environment for all students while at Weisenborn Junior High.
Thank you for your understanding and support in this effort. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 937-237-6350.
