Greetings Northwood Family,

The second semester is underway so be sure to check your student's PowerSchool account for updates on semester class changes and current grades. Your students are encouraged to check their grades everyday, and have time during WIN to work on assignments and get extra help from teachers if needed.

It seems like winter is officially here and with it, the cold! We monitor weather conditions daily and when appropriate, bring the students inside to wait for the first bell, which rings at 7:25.

Finally, our device policy remains Off & Away For The Day and students are reminded to power off and put away their cell phones and headphones before entering the building. We appreciate your support with this expectation.

With the return of the cold and snowy weather, we monitor the conditions and temperature on a daily basis and if necessary, we will bring students inside at 7:15am to wait for the first bell.

As a reminder, our goal is to keep our students, families and staff safe during arrival and dismissal times. Please remember the following:

• Students must be dropped off in front of the elementary entrance
• Students are picked up in front of the middle school entrance once busses have left campus
• Please refrain from dropping off/picking up your student from the parking lot
• Students and families should not walk between busses at any time
• Follow staff directions to ensure student safety

Come see Jim Basketball Jones, an engaging and entertaining motivational speaker, on Wednesday, February 15th from 6-7pm at Northwood Middle School. Our 5th and 6th graders spent an entertaining and educational hour with him in January. Come check out the fun!

3rd Quarter Parent - Teacher Conferences will be held on February 23 from 2:35-6:35pm. Prior to conferences, you will receive a link to sign up for 10 minute conferences with your student's teachers. And, you don't have to cook! Join us, before or after your conferences, for dinner in the Northwood cafeteria!
