California Parent School Survey 2023-2024
Your school needs you to complete this online survey to learn more about your opinions about it. This survey is an opportunity to communicate your perceptions about your child’s school. This letter explains the survey and, at the bottom of the page, provides your URL and access
instructions. If you have any questions about this survey, contact Catherin Bennett at cbennett@sandi.net.
The purpose of this survey is to obtain parent perceptions about the school.
guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement.
- This is an anonymous survey. It is designed so that no one can be identified from the data. You do not have to respond to any questions that you feel could be used to identify you. Simply skip any such questions.
- All questions apply to this school only.
- The results are for the use of your district. The California Department of Education and
WestEd will preserve data confidentiality and refer any data requests to the district.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING THE SURVEY
If you have more than one child at this school, you will only need to complete one survey for this
school. Please fill out just one survey about the school using your oldest child as a reference.

Safety Patrol Message!
At our last meeting with our SDPD Juvenile Services Officer, our Safety Patrol brought up many concerns that lead to student safety. Our Safety Patrol needs your help with the following:
- Please stop when our Safety Officers have the stop sign down! This indicates that families are crossing.
- Please do not drop off students in red zones.
- Please "NO" u-turns in the parking lot entry.
- Families please wait until our Safety Officers lower their stop signs before crossing. Be Patient!
- Please cross at the crosswalk!
Thank you for helping our Safety Patrol keep our students safe!
Appropriate Footwear!
Hello Parents,
Students need to wear appropriate footwear (sneakers or athletic shoes) during Physical Education days and if they are playing competitive sports during recess. This includes soccer and basketball. Appropriate footwear must have a closed toe and are secured at the back of the ankle. Crocs are not appropriate for athletic activities. Thank you for helping us avoid injuries!
Thank you!

Leader in Me: Habit 6
Our next Leader in Me focus is Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw. Our next awards assembly on April 25th we will recognize students who sharpen the saw!
People who sharpen the saw understand that they need to take time for themselves because it gives them the ability to do everything else. When we sharpen the saw, we are preserving and enhancing the greatest asset we have - ourselves. We regularly renew our body, mind, hearts and spirit.
Balance Feels Best: I take care of my body by eating right, exercising and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
Ways to practice Sharpen the Saw:
- For two nights in a row, go to bed early and see how great you feel when you wake up!
- For one whole week, read for twenty minutes every day.
- Today go play with someone who you haven’t played with for a long time.
- Go to one of your favorite spots in nature, like a mountain, a park, or a stream. When you get there, think about all the things in your life that make you happy, like your grandma, your dog, a fun toy, or playing with your friends.
