Leyden celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week
This week is a special time when we celebrate our teachers! Here at Leyden, we celebrate by recognizing our teachers through written acknowledgments, tokens of appreciation and treats throughout the week.
“This week gives us a great opportunity to recognize and thank each and every one of our teachers for all of the hard work they do to positively impact the students and families in our communities,” said Superintendent Dr. Nick Polyak. “And to all those who are working in public education, we express our sincere gratitude for your ongoing commitment to kids.
Leyden employs 601 professionals who each contribute to the educational experiences of our students. From teachers, support staff, food service staff, bus drivers, security, maintenance and administrators, we are each committed to “Doing What’s Best for the Kids.”
Student fines due before the end of the school year
On Friday, families received an email statement regarding any outstanding student fines. Please be sure to make payment prior to the end of the school year. Fines can be paid through the MySchoolBucks website. Note: We recognize that materials that are still being used for the remainder of the school year might be listed on the statement. If this is the case, we understand that students will still be utilizing the materials and will be returning them at the end of the semester. At that time, any fines associated with those materials will be removed/updated.
