Illuminated Letter with HSEAD May 23 @ 11am - 4pm
Learn the ancient, beautiful art of illuminated letters!
In this one day class we will learn about illuminated letters and their role in medieval illuminated manuscripts, the materials used in that time and how the letters and manuscripts were created. We will then paint an illuminated and decorated letter using modern, readily available materials. The finished letter will fit a 4β x 6β frame. You will learn how to use gold leaf with water based size for the illumination. You will be able to choose the letter you illuminate.
