5th Grade Transition to CMS
There are several opportunities coming up for our Flames moving on to be Twisters.
Members of the CMS administration team will visit Fulton 5th graders on May 30th. They will answer questions and present the multiple opportunities awaiting them there.
The will be a 5th grade party to Gizmo's sponsored by the PTO on May 28th.
Our annual 5th grade clap out will be on the last day of school at 11:25.
CMS Step-Up Days will take place during the summer (dates TBD).
5th Grade Clap Out
We will be having a “send-off” for our 5th graders on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 4th, at 11:25am. 5th grade students will walk the halls of Fulton one last time with all the other grade level students and staff lining the halls and sidewalks to cheer them onto the next chapter in their lives--middle school. Parents and family are welcome to join us for their last day at Fulton. Please line the sidewalks and spread out in back of Fulton to meet them and celebrate. More information to come!
A Reminder...
Please keep all personal belongings at home. Several students have been bringing their sports equipment to use at recess. We have plenty of footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, etc., and students should keep their personal items at home. Thank you for your cooperation!

Summer EBT Program
Help us spread the word! Summer EBT/SUN Bucks 2024 We are asking educators and community leaders to help us get the word out by sharing this Summer EBT/SUN Bucks Fact Sheet (available in English and Spanish) with the families in your schools and community! Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) or "SUN Bucks" is a federally funded program that provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. The Summer EBT is a one-time, $120 per eligible student benefit for summer 2024 administered by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). Most eligible families will be automatically enrolled in the Summer EBT program. Families can contact their child's school to make sure their low-income indicators are up to date. The issuances and notices will be sent to eligible households at the end of August. A Summer EBT application will be available over the summer. IDHS will have a screener available July 1 for families to check if the agency has the information needed to process their child's Summer EBT benefit, an application is required, or an updated address is needed. Please also note that during the summer months, families in need of meals can call 800-359-2163, text “FOOD" (or “COMIDA") to 304-304, or view the USDA online map to find nearby meal sites not located at their school that are open to all children and youth age 18 and younger. For more information, or for help to determine eligibility after school is out, please visit the Illinois Department of Human Services website.
Thank you for helping us ensure that no child in Illinois goes hungry this summer.
