The Ritenour Review
2018-2019 Third Grade Weekly News
Meet your NEW teacher!
Let me share a little about myself!
Growing up in the Hoosier State meant I had a basketball in my hands at a young age and this love led to a basketball scholarship to a small school in Memphis, Tennessee. I finished two degrees in Memphis and taught in a private school for a few years. Through my love of travel and being a servant leader, South Korea’s government offered me a position to teach English to elementary age children for a year. My year abroad was an exciting and educating experience. I grew an understanding to leave normal behind and accept the world as it comes. What is normal, really? Upon arriving back in the States, I decided to move back to my home state to be closer to my family and precious nieces. I ended up meeting my delightful husband here in Indiana and we have a happy little toddler who will turn two in October.
Other facts about Mrs. Ritenour:
- I LOVE to travel! I have been to over half of America, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Canada.
- I love animals! I have two dogs. Dolly is a sweet yet ornery lab/beagle mix and she is almost four. Dexter is a boxer mix and is just a little over four years.
- I love sports! I played basketball in college and still like to play when I get a chance. I also play volleyball from time to time still and love to get on the golf course when I have time.
- I LOVE my family! I have a very sweet and supportive family. I am the youngest of four children. I have an older brother and two older sisters. I was blessed even further when I was given the opportunity to be an aunt to FOUR beautiful nieces.
