HFRCS Newsletter June 25, 2024
SY 2023-2024 - Vol.3 Issue 42
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope that by now, everyone is beginning what I hope will be a fantastic summer break! It was exceptionally hot last week and hopefully your family took advantage of a pool or the ocean to cool off!
I would like to share a huge THANK YOU to our Home and School Association for their partnership this year. The H&S has been actively involved in planning and providing wonderful events and activities for our students and families. They have fundraised to support our teachers and our school by way of a donation for educational support. The H&S has also taken on funding projects such as the installation of new water fountains and glass filming for safety of the front entrance door and window areas. The generosity and commitment of our H&S is unmatched, and I thank their Board and the many volunteers who make wonderful things happen every year here at Holy Family. Please see their end of year report in this newsletter.
Just a reminder that there are teacher tutors available to assist students this summer. If your child could use some extra help to tighten up skills, please consider contacting one of our many teachers who are available to tutor this summer. Also available are teachers who can assist with working on summer work packets. Please refer to the tutor list in this newsletter.
Our administrative team is available all summer to assist parents with any concerns. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Do not hesitate to call or email our Advancement, Enrollment or Business office as well as our school secretaries or myself. We are here to serve you and look forward to speaking with you!
Remember, over the summer our school is closed, but our parish churches are OPEN! Continue to attend weekly Mass and participate in the good news of our Catholic faith!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
We are a family of FAITH!
Remember to go to Mass this weekend.
Honor Roll 3rd Trimester
Congratulations to all students who made Honor Roll in the third trimester.
Summer Packets
Summer Packets for incoming grades 1-8 were distributed to the students during the last week of school.
New students can pick up summer packets from the office. Summer office hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Summer Tutoring
If your child could use some support to avoid the “summer slide,” please refer to the attachment for the teachers who are available to provide individual and small-group tutoring.

LAST CALL: Financial Aid for 2024-2025 School Year
Please see the attached letter for important information about Financial Aid. Even if your family received financial assistance in the past, a new application must be submitted each year.
Families who do not apply will not be eligible to receive aid.
Please note that the school has not been notified of our total financial aid funding for 2024-2025 school year. However, it is expected to be lower than what we received this school year with the large one-time gift. We should have more information at the end of this month or early next month. The Business Office will not finalize your account until your financial aid application has been reviewed so you may be placed on a August to May tuition schedule.
Student Referral Incentive Program
Our Student Referral Incentive Program awards a referring Holy Family Regional Catholic School family with a $200 tuition credit posted in December as a way of saying thank you for your trust and confidence in our school community. See the Student Referral Incentive Program for more information on eligibility requirements for the incentive payment.
Pennsylvania Award for Student Success (PASS) program.
Contact your state senator and representative to encourage them to support an important school choice measure that would greatly help our Catholic schools. It's SB 795, the Pennsylvania Award for Student Success (PASS) program.

SCHOLASTIC CAMPAIGN
Please share this Scholastic campaign with everyone you can! I am raising money to get copies of the Reading Olympics books for students, as well as some new books for the little library. Donate if you can. I will also be collecting any gently used children's books as well as furniture (think beanbags, comfy floor chairs etc.) for the little library over the summer. Thank you as always for your support, and be sure to reach out with any questions! brittany.konen@hfrcs.org
