As we wrap up an incredible first semester, I want to thank you for your partnership, support, and the joy you bring to our school community. It has been a privilege to watch our students grow, learn, and thrive together.

As we head into winter break, I hope you take this time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with your loved ones. Whether it’s cozying up with a good book, enjoying outdoor adventures, or simply savoring moments together, this season is the perfect opportunity to cherish what matters most.

I am so proud of all that we’ve accomplished in 2024, and I know that 2025 will be an amazing year filled with growth, discovery, and success for our South Lakewood Panthers. Thank you for making our school such a special place.

It’s helpful to let us know you’re coming back to South Lakewood next year, so that the district can prepare for next year’s staffing, budget, resources and more for our school. Over the past two weeks, all of our SLE students joined the global Hour of Code event. Yes, even our kindergarten students are coding! Many students have expressed an interest in continuing to code over the break. This document tells how to get them onto their Clever account from home. From Clever, students can access Code.org, as well as Lexia. The document also has directions and a join code for some fun digital breakout challenges for your family to enjoy over the break.

We have partnered with the Colorado Rapids to reward and incentivize attendance here at South Lakewood Elementary by giving students who miss two (2) school days or less, from January 7th - February 21st , a complimentary ticket to a Colorado Rapids match.

Students who qualify will receive a ticket link voucher to redeem their complimentary ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate. Vouchers will be redeemable for qualifying Spring 2025 games.

Our 2025 spring calendar for state testing has been provided to schools.

The CMAS dates are available now so that your family can plan around assessment days for appointments, etc. in the spring.

Thank you for being mindful of our CMAS testing dates, we appreciate it when you do not make appointments and or take vacation during CMAS!

If your Panther is in 3rd-5th grades, our Mandatory CMAS testing at SLE will take place April 1- April 24.
