Little School Newsletter
Welcome to School!
Please read this entire email. It contains very important information.
Dear Parents,
We've had a fantastic first week of school and are thrilled to see how well the students are adapting. Your presence each day brings us great joy, and we feel truly blessed to be part of your child's early years.
As we embark on this journey together, please know that separation anxiety is a normal part of this transition. Rest assured, we are experienced professionals who offer love, support, and create strong bonds with each child. If you have any concerns or need reassurance about how your child is doing, don’t hesitate to call our office. We are here to ensure that your child’s days are as joyful as yours and to ease any worries you might have about their safety and happiness.
We are excited to collaborate with you throughout the year in nurturing your wonderful child. We value your insights and encourage open communication as we work together to support your child’s growth and development.
Grace and Love,
Kelly Amadeo
Director and Principal
Back to School Reminders for Parents
- We kindly ask that you remain in your car until 1:00pm at the end of the day until all students have entered the building from recess. Some of our younger classes are finding it challenging to gather their students when they see parents waiting by the gate. Your cooperation helps us ensure a smooth transition for everyone. Thank you!
- Additionally, please use positive and encouraging words when dropping off your child. Sometimes children sense your feelings and might say things like, "I am sad because Mommy was sad I went to school." Even if it's hard, your enthusiasm can make a big difference.
- Please be mindful of our classroom allergies to ensure a safe environment for all students at Little School. We appreciate your attention to this matter.
- If your child is on the playground before or after school, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could help them put toys in the toy boxes and park the cozy coupe cars in their designated spots along the fence.
Join our PTO!
Would you like to be more involved at Little School and join our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization, formerly known as our Advisory Board)? The PTO plays a key role in planning and organizing various events and functions for our school. We meet once a month at 1:30 pm, and our meeting days alternate. We also welcome volunteers who can assist with various daytime activities. If you’re interested in joining our fantastic group of parents and teachers, we would love to hear from you! Please email Kelly at kelly@stlukeshr.com if you would like to become a part of our PTO. We look forward to welcoming new members and working together to support our school community!

Music Class News
Dear Parents and Guardians!
We are thrilled to welcome our Little School musicians this year! We’re excited to create not only wonderful music but also lasting memories together.
In our first week of music, we focused on learning names by incorporating them into a song, such as “Here We Are Together,” and explored different ways children get to school, including the bus with “Wheels on the Bus.” Ask your child to sing “Put Your Bumper on the Circle,” which is set to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
Looking ahead to mid-September, we’ll delve into “All About Me” songs and poems. We’ll also have fun with apple and farm-themed songs like “Old McDonald,” “I Know a Chicken” (featuring shaker eggs), and “Did You Feed My Cow?”
Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us at Little School. They bring so much joy to our music sessions!
Warm regards,
Ms. Sheri
Ms. Laura
Ms. Jana
