Cameron Ranch Falcon Connection
March 2024
Greetings Falcon Community,
March has finally arrived! We have a few weeks before spring break, and then the final push to the end of the school year will be packed with school events and activities. March is Women's History Month, which celebrates women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. Women's History Month provides us with an important and necessary opportunity to amplify the voices, perspectives, experiences, and contributions of women.
The Spring Book Fair is coming to Cameron Ranch on Friday, March 8 - Thursday, March 14. You can order books using this link. Students will visit the book fair over the week during their regular library time. We need parent volunteers. If you can help, please reach out to Ms. Kristen our school librarian. kristen.sroay@sanjuan.edu
Our school-wide focus during February was Friendship and for March, our campus-wide emphasis is on Empathy. On February 16, our students participated in a school-wide inclusive practices campaign, we all BEE-long. The campaign aimed to strengthen our school atmosphere so that all students can authentically thrive. We will come together as a school at the end of the month to celebrate what friendship and empathy looks like across our school.
Our Library Learning Lab for March is all about Exploring Physics! Students will be able to explore simple machines, magnets, pulley systems, pendulums and more! We are thrilled to bring this hands-on learning to your students each week when visiting the library. Children learn best when they can explore with their hands!
