We are here to support your child's academic and personal development, and your active participation in these conferences is crucial to our shared goal. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, October 17th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. We look forward to seeing you and having productive discussions about your child's education.
Building a PC Project
Our dedicated Computer Information Technologies students have worked hard, engaging in two incredible projects that showcase both their creativity and technical skills! In the Building a PC project, students researched and designed posters featuring custom PC builds, mastering the intricacies of components like motherboards, processors, and graphics cards.
Meanwhile, in their PC Building Challenge, they crafted custom PCs within a $600 budget, making informed decisions and presenting their builds with clarity and confidence. Their dedication to these hands-on tasks demonstrates impressive problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of technology. Well done, future tech innovators!

Student Activities
For the year of 2024, Character Awareness Spirit Week will take place next week October 14th to October 18th. The objective of this week is to adapt a more positive school culture and environment that is both safe and supportive for all members of our Rowland family.
Each day will highlight one of the character qualities above along with different activities on Monday and Wednesday during lunch that reinforce the character traits.
MONDAY: TRUST - Students WEAR BLUE
Trust: Be truthful, gentle, and fearless; Hidden truths are unspoken lies; Be honest and be true for all things will come back to you; I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you; Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair
TUESDAY: RESPONSIBILITY/CITIZENSHIP - Students WEAR GREEN AND/OR PURPLE
Responsibility/Citizenship: The price of greatness is responsibility; Responsibility forms a strong leader; You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself
WEDNESDAY: FAIRNESS/UNITY, ANTI-BULLYING - Students WEAR ORANGE
Fairness: A negative mind will never give you a positive life; You never look good trying to make someone else look bad; Hurtful words can only be forgiven not forgotten; A fair-minded person tries to see both sides of an argument; It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself
THURSDAY: RESPECT - Students WEAR YELLOW
Respect: Life is too short to waste your time on people who don’t respect, appreciate, and value you; The base of all things is respect; It costs $0 to treat someone with respect. Respect is a two-way street, if you want to get it, you’ve got to give it.
FRIDAY: CARING/FAMILY - Students WEAR PINK AND/OR RED
Caring and Family: Family does not have to be flesh and blood. Its time, love, caring and sharing; Caring about others is an act of maturity; Self-care is giving the world the best of you; Family is anyone who loves you unconditionally
This is also the theme for the final league home football game.
The Spanish club will hold a lunchtime Loteria (Mexican Bingo) session in the Quad on Monday, October 14th.
Girls Varsity Volleyball will have their senior night on Tuesday, October 15th. Come support as they play against Northview.
This year's International ShakeOut Day is October 17, when millions of people worldwide will participate in earthquake drills at work, school, or home!
The last home game of the Football season will be on Friday, October 18th against Montclair. Come support Football, Cheer, and Band on their senior night!
