Davis Families,
Fourth quarter is in full swing! Students are in the routine of their hybrid schedules, and thematic clubs have started up again! We love the excitement that is back in the building. If your student is a freshman, ask them how their Ohio Boater's Course was. If your student is a sophomore, ask them what they think about The 57 Bus, the book they're starting in English. If your student is a junior, ask them what they're focusing on in College and Career Readiness...post-secondary plans are right around the corner. If your student is a senior, ask them about their conversations with Mr. Markusic, our College Now advisor. If you have questions about any of these or other topics, remember that we have Parent Advisor Conferences this Wednesday. That is a great opportunity for you, your student and your student's advisor to take a deeper dive into academics and future plans.

OST Testing continues THIS WEEK
Ohio State Tests (OSTs) will be administered in person this week for all students in Algebra and Geometry classes. Students should make sure to fully charge their computer and bring it on testing day/s!
Hybrid students will take these tests on their in-person days. Remote students and families received an email from MRothbaum@DavisAM.org with their testing information.
Virtual Parent-Advisor Conferences THIS WEDNESDAY

Davis Families, Join us for our Virtual Guided Yoga Family Night
THIS THURSDAY April 29th @ 6PM, we will host a virtual Guided Yoga Family Night.
This class was designed with Davis students and families in mind. With COVID procedures in place, students are in the same seat for their full school day or working from home on a computer. To offer stress relief throughout the school or work day, the instructor will focus on movements that WE ALL CAN DO, whether in a chair, a small space, and/or without a mat. Davis families, students, and teachers are invited. SIGN UP NOW!

THE FIRST 30 parents/guardians who sign up and attend the event will receive a FREE Yoga Mat and the book Yoga for Everyone.
** Free mat and book will be delivered AFTER event attendance.

Class of 2021 Message from Profe Courey
Allow me to say congratulations to you for reaching this milestone. Each of you have a story to tell about what you had to overcome to get to your senior year. This story, I am sure, involves the word, “pandemic.” I am here to tell you that regardless of that word, YOU are almost at the finish line. Do not give up, you got this!
The time has finally come to start looking forward to your Senior activities. Most of these activities are time-sensitive and must be completed prior to the due date. Please see the many dates and activities HERE that I would encourage you to put on your calendar. If anything changes due to CDC guidelines, we will inform you as soon as we receive the news but let’s stay hopeful!

Message from PHASTAR
Additionally, keep an eye out for PHASTAR and Davis sudents on the water. This past weekend, PHASTAR launched a small flotilla of power boats operated by Davis students, who spent the day cleaning trash out of North Coast Harbor as part of water clean-up efforts ahead of the NFL Draft. Students will head out again this week to continue clean-up.

ALL STUDENTS: College Now is still hosting virtual informational events. Events being hosted in May will cover the ACT & SAT, navigating the college process, summer learning opportunities, and senior "next steps." See the flyer below!
SENIORS & PARENTS: We are coming up to colleges' May 1 deadline to enroll, so students must make a decision soon on where they want to go! I have met with several students already to walk through money and decisions. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out by text (216-507-1768) or by email (mmarkusic@collegenowgc.org) Many seniors also still need to fill out the FAFSA! We are officially over 50% of seniors submitting the FAFSA, already receiving over $100,000 in free money! The FAFSA is a requirement for the Say Yes to Education scholarship, so students should aim to have the FASFA done as soon as possible. If you would like help with the process, contact Mr. Markusic.

FREE YMCA Membership for Davis Students
The Downtown location of the YMCA is doing a free program called the Teen Cafe. Davis students can get a free membership to workout and to use the pool.
Just go to the Downtown YMCA at the Galleria, tell them you are a Davis student and that you want to sign up for the Cafe' Program.
