A Message from Ms. Schmidt
Students, as we wrap up 2024, take a moment to reflect on your personal growth. It's incredible to see how much you've accomplished and how much our school community has evolved together. I am so proud of your involvement in our clubs, sports, and activities. I am impressed with your desire to do well and your openness to continue to grow, showing tons of grit and determination along the way. I'm confident that 2025 will be another year of growth and achievement. Let's continue to push ourselves to reach new heights!
Teachers and Staff - Thank you, thank you, thank you. None of our achievements would be possible tireless dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to our students and Red Lion Area Senior High School. Your hard work and sacrifices have made a significant impact on the lives of our students and community.
Enjoy a relaxing, fulfilling, and safe two-week break! We can't wait to see you all recharged and ready to roar into 2025. Remember, no matter where you are, every day is a Great Day to be a Lion!

PAWSITIVE PAL OF THE WEEK
This week's Pawsitive Pal recognition goes to our outstanding music teachers: Mr. Crone, Ms. Casey, and Mr. Sheetz. Not only do they excel in instructing our student vocalists and musicians, but they also spread a deep appreciation for music throughout our school and community.
The music season truly spans the entire year, featuring the mighty marching lions, orchestra, symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, concert choir, mixed chorus, madrigals, pit orchestra, and, of course, our musical.
Mr. Crone, Ms. Casey, and Mr. Sheetz share their passion for music every day, forging life-long connections with students. Their dedication inspires alumni to return year after year, supporting the next generation of musicians.
Thank you, Mr. Crone, Ms. Casey, and Mr. Sheetz, for not only leading beautiful concerts and performances but also making a lasting impact on our students' lives. Your work resonates far beyond the stage, creating a legacy of music and mentorship.
Happy Holidays from the Senior High Secretaries!
Important Information
Information Regarding Good Standing Status
Attention Parents, Guardians and Students: We are continuing to monitor data to determine which students are in good standing and those that are not. If a student is not in good standing their privileges to the cafe will be revoked for one week. Grade and attendance reports are generated on Thursday mornings at 9am. Students and guardians will receive notification Thursday afternoon by email to notify them if they able to visit our wonderful cafe. Participation in the end of the marking period reward and other events can be determined by a student's good standing status. Please reach out to your assistant principal if you have any questions or concerns.
Criteria used to determine good standing:
1. Students must maintain passing grades (60% or higher for the marking period grade). Students are allowed to have one course grade lower than 60%.
2. Students must have 9 or fewer unexcused absences in the past two months.
3. Students must adhere to the student code of conduct as explained in the Student Handbook. Repeated or multiple minor infractions or serious violations result in being removed from good standing.

Counseling
Happy Holidays from the Counseling Office. Course selection for next year has begun! Students were given a course selection sheet for their specific grade level next year. Students received information from their core academic teachers and explored elective options. We will be collecting the sheets back from the students before christmas break. When we return, counselors will start meeting with each student to go over their choices and make any adjustments/changes. Once we have finalized the student’s selections, we will begin to build the master schedule. Our scheduling website is an excellent resource for any of your scheduling questions. Contact your student’s school counselor for questions, thank you!
