Husky E-News
April 20, 2025
From the Principal
Hillendale families,
Welcome back! I hope you and your huskies had a terrific spring break.
This week marks the first week of PSSA testing for our students in 3rd - 5th grade. To help calm any pre-testing anxieties, please remind your children that the PSSA is simply one way amongst many to show how much they've learned this year. They will all do great!
Students are invited to join our staff in a districtwide "Gold Out" this Friday (4/25) in support of UTHON. See more details about an opportunity for elementary school students to support UTHON below if you're interested.
Have a great week!

Hillendale Updates
Heart of a Heart Husky Postcards!
Be on the lookout for mail!! As part of our Heart of a Husky program focusing on school wide positive behaviors, each Hillendale staff member will receive a special postcard to mail to a student who stood out amongst others in their willingness to "be kind to everyone, do their best, and show they care." This is a special honor that we are excited to share with not only our huskies, but their families! We hope you will enjoy receiving a message as much as we enjoy sending them!
"Ready Set Kindergarten!"
On May 19th, families who have registered their child for kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year will be invited to Hillendale from 4:30 - 5:30 PM for a welcome event! Students and families will learn about Hillendale, meet many of our staff, learn about our PTO, get a tour of the building, and begin to meet one another! We are excited for this special event as we transition to Full Day Kindergarten. If you know of other families in the Hillendale area that have not yet registered their children for kindergarten, please encourage them to do so or to reach out to us for help!
